1. State Lami’s theorem.

4. Draw the free-body diagram of the system shown in Figure 1.

6a. Determine the magnitude and direction of the resultant of a system of forces shown in Figure 2.

7a. To pull-out a branch of weight 150 kg, a rope is tied at point P and pulled from point Q, with a
force of 400 N, as shown in Figure 4. Determine the moment about point R of the force exerted on
the branch at P.
