A literature review is a summary and evaluation of existing research

and writings on a particular topic, providing a comprehensive
understanding of what has been studied and what gaps exist in the
knowledge.

2. In one or two sentences, discuss the significance or importance of

Literature Review when doing a Research Paper?

A literature review is crucial for a research paper as it helps establish

the context of the study by summarizing existing knowledge and
identifying gaps, guiding researchers to build upon previous work and
ensure their study contributes meaningfully to the field.
3. Name the four (4) Literature Review Strategies and discuss each of
them in one or two sentences.

The four literature review strategies are:

1. Chronological: Organizing literature based on the timeline of

publication dates to show the evolution of ideas over time.

4. Theoretical: Categorizing literature based on theoretical frameworks
or perspectives to examine how different theories inform research on a
particular subject.
