WHAT? HOW?
1. Activation/ Warm up Observation
Students are going to play a recognition game. Cards
We form 2 rows of the students and then we Whiteboard

choose a leader for each round of the game and
the leader receive a card with a verb that they
have to recreate the verb of the card without
saying it, and the other students need to try to
guess the verb. The first team who guesses
correctly wins a point. After each round they have
to choose another leader and start again.

PRESENTATION
Teacher starts the class introducing the topic of
present simple and explaining:
- The use of the simple present to talk about
habits, routines, general truths and
permanent situation.
- Regular and irregular verbs
- Third person singular subject-verb
agreement.
We also provide some examples of present simple
sentences and ask students to identify the subject
and the verb in each sentence.

PRODUCTION
For the last activity of the class the teacher divides Notebook

interview one being the interviewer and the other
one being the interviewed and they have to write
about daily routines, habits or hobbies. After they
finish the teachers ask some of them to share their
interview with the whole class.

students a piece of paper called 3-2-1 with 3
questions that they have to reflect on what they LINK:
have learned, 2 questions that they still have and 3-2-1
an opinion they have for a next class.
