Join Our Team
We are seeking two experienced and result-driven Medical Detailers to make a significant
impact on women's health in Uganda. Join us to contribute to innovative healthcare
solutions and proactive engagement with healthcare providers, with one position available
in Eastern Uganda and the other in Western Uganda.
Job Overview
As a Medical Detailer, you will engage directly with healthcare professionals, promoting and
distributing pharmaceutical products with a focus on women’s reproductive health. This role
demands a proactive professional who is adept at establishing and nurturing impactful
relationships, facilitating in-depth training, and driving the adoption of beneficial
healthcare products. Additionally, you will extend your expertise to various industries,
including non-pharmaceutical markets, where health-related products and services are
equally vital.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Implement quality standards and training initiatives to improve healthcare practices
and influence provider prescriptions.
▪ Develop and manage detailed weekly and monthly plans and budgets for product
detailing and sales.
▪ Increase awareness and utilization of reproductive health products among
healthcare providers in assigned territories.

▪ Mentor and support health providers and partners in the effective use of reproductive
health products.
▪ Ensure the efficient distribution and monitoring of promotional and educational
materials.
▪ Build and maintain robust relationships with providers and partners to boost demand
for Viya products.
▪ Monitor partner facilities and outlets to support trade and foster product loyalty.
▪ Conduct negotiations, manage orders, and participate in local trade exhibitions and
conferences to expand business opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences; additional certification in Marketing and
Sales is advantageous.
▪ Minimum of two years' experience in the pharmaceutical distribution or health
product industry, preferably with a focus on reproductive health.
▪ Proven sales experience and the ability to work collaboratively with government
bodies, community organizations, and NGOs.
▪ Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
▪ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
▪ Fluency in English and at least one local language.
▪ Willingness to travel frequently within Uganda.
▪ Must possess a valid driving license.
