W ord processing application is the preparation(what is this) of documents such as letters, reports,
memos, books or any other type of correspondence. A word processor is an application
package or program1 that allows you to edit, print, and save these documents for use at a
later date. A word processor also includes many other capabilities -such as the ability to copy and move
text, find and replace specific words or phrases, delete, edit and format documents and print
documents. Some of the popular word processors include:

 Microsoft word
 Lotus Word Pro and
 Word Perfect

In our CSC109XYZ we have learnt the basics of preparing a document in Microsoft word. Essentially, with
these word skills, you should be able to use any of the word processors mentioned above comfortably. In

Importance of computer networks

A computer network, often referred to as network, is a collection of computers and devices

interconnected by communicating channels that facilitate communications and allows sharing of
resources and information among interconnected devices. The resources shared include: information,
software, and hardware devices.
