Job interviewer: Come on in Shaun - I’m Mr Stephens, nice to meet you.

Shaun: Hello, Mr Stephens - it’s a pleasure to meet you today.

JI: Okay. Firstly, congratulations on being selected to attend this interview today. We had a lot of strong candidates for the position
but your CV was very strong.

S: That’s very kind of you to say so.

JI: I can tell you tailored the CV especially for our company which showed a great deal of care and also knowledge about our
business.Okay, so let’s get to some questions. Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?

S: No problem. As you know, my name is Shaun and originally I’m from London but now live in Manchester. I am a keen designer
and illustrator which helps me in my role as a web designer.I love spending time outside, which is actually one of the reasons I left
London!

JI: Certainly, London doesn’t have as much countryside as the North of England. In your last role, what was one of the challenges that
you often faced?

S: Hmmm, I’d say a common challenge was communication with our clients. They often wanted to change or extend their projects
which meant lots of design and development amendments. This can be a challenge as often client’s expectations, say for example
with time or money, don’t always align with the true reflection of the project.

JI: Yes, I do completely agree with that - we have that issue here, too. What did you do to amend this issue?

S: Well, I have always believed in keeping constant communication with clients. This involves a daily checklist of tasks to be done
and just generally reporting on progress overall. Before, my last company didn’t do this and clients had a lot more problems. I think
the daily progress reports have been a great success.

JI: Actually, we implemented this last year and it’s also been a success here, Shuan. What would you describe as one of your
weaknesses?

S: I’d say overall I have quite a lot of confidence in myself as a designer. But there are definitely areas I’d like to work on within my
skills of course! I think my main focus is on improving my workflow and also using my time saving shortcuts. The work would be
pretty much completed to the same quality, though I’d have more time to speak to clients or even take on other projects, too. That’s
what I’m most looking forward to developing this year.
