Involvement on Environmental Issues: 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29
Attitudes on Environmental Education: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30

Scoring:

For each variable, add all the scores of their items. Divide the sum by ten to get the general mean score
for the variable.

To get the general impression of the respondents for each of the three variables, add all the general
mean score for each variable for all respondents. Divide the sum by the total number of respondents.

Interpretation:

Range of Scores Verbal Interpretation


1 – 1.5 Very Low/Strongly Disagree
1.5 – 2.5 Low/Slightly Disagree
2.5 – 3.5 High/Slightly Agree
3.5 – 4 Very High/Strongly Agree

Notes:
1. The scoring and interpretation are intended for positively-stated items only. Should you wish to use
the negatively stated items, please contact me ASAP for a different scoring system and interpretation.
2. Though there are negatively-stated items available for a better interpretation of the respondents’
sentiments towards “Attitudes on Environmental Education”, I suggest that you stick with the positively
stated items for the ease of interpretation.
3. If you choose positively-stated items for “Attitudes”, a low score here would not automatically be
interpreted as having negative attitudes towards environmental education.
