Intended Use
The Snibe BiossaysTM Ca reagent is used for quantitative determination of Calcium in human serum.

Assay Principle
In this method 8-Hydroxyquinoline is added to remove interference by magnesium and iron. O-Cresolphtha-
lein-complexone reacts with calcium in an alkaline solution to form a Ca-OCPC complex. The absorbance of
the Ca-OCPC complex is measured chromatically at 570 nm. The resulting increase in absorbance of the
reaction mixture is directly proportional to the calcium concentration in the sample.

1~19 years: 2.26 mmol/L～2.66 mmol/L (2.5th-97.5th percentiles)
Expected Values 20~79 years: 2.11 mmol/L～2.52 mmol/L (Verified)

Limit of Detection (LoD) The LoD for Ca is 0.2 mmol/L

Measuring Range 0.2-3.75 mmol/L

Precision 1.94%-2.56% (1.56-3.10）
