Intended Use
The Snibe BiossaysTM GLU reagent is intended for quantitative determination of glucose in human serum.

Assay Principle
The Snibe GLU assay accurately measures glucose in the specimen using a two-step procedure. Firstly, Hexoki-
nase catalyzes the phosphorylation of glucose by ATP producing ADP and glucose-6-phosphate. Then
glucose-6-phosphate is oxidized to 6-phosphogluconate with the reduction of NADP+ to NADPH by
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD). The amount of NADPH formed is proportional to the concentration
of glucose in the sample and can be measured by the increase in absorbance at 340 nm.

Expected Values Adult: 3.89-6.11 mmol/L (2.5th–97.5th percentiles)

Limit of Detection (LoD) The LoD for GLU is 0.14 mmol/L

Measuring Range 0.14-25 mmol/L

Precision 1.65%-1.94% (5.15-15.46）
