Stuck with IIM Ranchi's form? Here's what you need to do:
There are two stages in the IIM Ranchi's Application Form:
1. The first stage asks your personal details, 10th/12th marks (leave the 12th marks field completely blank if
your results aren't out), achievements, document upload and finally the transaction-id and date. The
transaction-id is the SBI Collect Reference number is the form of DUMxxxxxxxx.
2. Once you enter the transaction-id and date (please confirm the details are correct), you'll see a line
saying "wait for 72 hours" (on the same screen). Now, wait for a couple of days. It is alright if the
deadline passes, you've filled the first half of the form. Last year, they had extended the time to fill the
IPMAT-Indore-ID.
3. For further information, the administration at IIM Ranchi is manually confirming the payment-id and
unlocking the second stage, hence, the delay.
4. Log-in to your application every day to see if the second stage is unlocked, you will see a screen like this
if it is unlocked:

Next to the "print" button on top, the "Update IPMAT ID" button is missing for this user.
For most users, there will be an "Update IPMAT ID" near the header, where they can fill the IPMAT-Indore-ID
(ATxxxxxxx) and the date of IPMAT 2024 (yes, it doesn't make rationale sense, but it is what it is).
If this button is missing, try changing your password and logging in again. This has surprisingly worked for a
lot of students.
How to confirm if the entire application has been submitted?
Once you've updated IPMAT-ID, print your application, confirm that you can see your IPMAT-Indore-ID in the
application form. If you can, then you're good to go.
Note: IIM Ranchi doesn't send any confirmation email.
Common Mistakes Made By Students:
1. Filling transaction/UTR number instead of the SBI Collect Reference Number (Format is DUMxxxxxxx)
2. Emailing helpdesk or the professors. The only email which can help you with technical issues is
admissions.it@iimranchi.ac.in. If you're unable to update the IPMAT-Indore-ID, send a polite message
(keep it very short) requesting them to update on the backend for you.
