You are a journalist for NBC channel reporting live to be

broadcast on The Today Show. Present the new museum


to visitors and discuss African American art.

Hello, my name is Marguerite and today in company of the NBC


channel reporting, let me present you the new museum which
has just been inaugurated.
We're in front of this new museum, named the "Artword power
museum". It was created to convey a message to the public, so
that the artists who show their work can speak out about the
African American art. Opened on January 12, 2024, this New
nvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvèYork-based Museum will enable the
public to experience the full brilliance of African American
artists and their exceptional contributions.

1ere Salle 8 Martin Luther King


Come with us, and you will be shown from the inside.
We're on the second floor of the museum, in room 8, to show
you why this museum will inspire you. In this room, you can
learn about Martin Luther King's life, desegregation and racism.
In fact, we can observe here, a "Mural of MLK’s speech" who
show us her speech about denounce the segregation during the
50's. You can also find other paintings of MLK with his family,
murals about him, as well as documentaries about his fight
against racism.

2eme salle 11 African American Art


Now we're going to visit the room 11 placed on the 3 floors,
who concern the African American art.
This room is the biggest room of this museum, and he is the
most important of over the museum. In this place, we can
observe the story of the African American art who is different
forms of artworks, for defend a cause, convey a message, or to
make the world equity.

Come with me, I'll show you how art is a power for African
Americans. We are looking at a painting entitled "The creation
of God", by Harmonia Rosales were in this painting the colors of
the black woman reveal African American culture. On the
contrary, the original is Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam»
who Rosales inspired of, shows that art can change according to
culture. And this is probably the revelation of African American
art, where every culture can share its origin, in the fight against
racial segregation and for equality.
Thanks to this space, it influences to make people realize and
pay tribute to the people who suffered with discrimination. This
influence it made by the presentations of these artworks, who
are painted by African American. But we have also others forms
of Art to fight for one's rights, which is the case of dance, videos
or interview, which you can find on the 4th floor.

Also, you may watch the interview with Marley Dia's campaign,
where she talks about her #1000BlackGirlBooks who created to
draw attention to literature about black protagonists.
Accordingly, various forms of art are enjoyed and admit in
different cultures, showcasing diverse talents and expressions
in the artistic world.

In conclusion, this is one of New York's newest museums,


where you can discover a wealth of paintings, murals and
information on African American art. In fact, as Romare
Bearden said: "Black art has always existed. It just hasn't been
looked for in the right places". This is the reason why I
recommend you visit this extraordinary museum, because Afro-
American art is truly remarkable, showcasing rich culture and
creativity.
