CogAT – ‘The Cognitive Abilities Test’ is a standardized group – administered reasoning

and problem-solving assessment, intended to measure the acquired thinking and


problem-solving abilities of the students.

The CogAT test comprises of 3 sections known as batteries: the Verbal Battery, the
Quantitative Battery and the Non-Verbal Battery. Though scores are calculated
separately for each battery but they can be administered either separately or together.
CogAT is a highly competitive test and thus should not be taken lightly. Thorough
preparation is required to ensure that your child performs his/her level best which will
help in accurate evaluation of their performance.
