SECTION 1 | BASIC INFORMATION

INTRODUCTION

The Education & Training Services is the primary training service regiment
within the British Army. Our role is to ensure that new recruits are fully
trained and have an understanding of the core values and responsibilities
of the British Army.

This document is going to serve as a personal handbook for all ETS


members, it will include basic Information on the regiment such as the
Chain of Command and how to gain promotions.

RULES & REGULATIONS

All members of the Education & Training Services are to follow these
rules in order to ensure that the reputation of ETS as well as your own
reputation doesn’t become foiled.

➔ All members of ETS MUST use grammar at all times.


➔ All members of ETS (Excluding Instructor School) MUST be in the ETS
VC while on duty at Sandhurst.
➔ Only Course Instructor and above is allowed to exit the the box. (If
you are OF-2+ and not a High Rank You are allowed to get your No.02
after that you should go straight to the box again!)
➔ You are NOT allowed to use admin commands on high ranks you.
➔ When brining people you MUST use 4+ letters.
➔ Junior Drill Instructor MUST SEEK SUPERVISION from a Senior Drill
Instructor or above before they are able to host at their own.
➔ Any form of Immaturity is NOT permitted and can lead to serious
consequences.
➔ You are NOT allowed to use the “ Promotion Panel “ on yourself.
➔ All members of ETS MUST:
◆ Have the ETS Standard uniform on.
◆ Have the ETS Beret on.
◆ Have a realistic skin tone on.
◆ Have the default package on.
◆ Have no t-shirt on.

Failing to follow any of these rules WILL result in disciplinary action -


anything from a Physical Training to a demotion or even in some cases
an exile where you will have to redo a tryout if you wish to join ETS
again.

DEPARTMENTS

The Education & Training Services is split into two different


Departments: Department 1 and Department 2.

Department 1
Department 1 consists of Course Instructors and Department Staff
They are responsible for hosting Instructor School Courses also
Known as ISCs that teach new members of ETS how to host BMTs
As well as providing basic information of the regiment.
Department 1 plays a crucial role in ETS as they are in charge of
teaching newly hired ETS members basic rules and regulations of ETS
as well as making sure servers are managed well with correctly hosted
BMTs taking place.

Department 2
Department 2 consists of Recruiting Staffs and Department Staffs.
They are responsible for hosting tryouts to recruiting people into ETS.
Department 2 Staff are also responsible for hosting British Army Wide
Trainings to help low ranks rank up. Department 2 also plays a crucial
part in ETS because they bring new members into ETS daily and
without them, ETS would not be as big as it is today!

Joining the Departments


To join a Department, you can either pass an introductory and get
recommended, or you can pass an application. You must be at least a
Drill Instructor, and be in ETS for 5 Days. You also need to prove that
you can do your quota for multiple days before you can be considered.
You can find out what your quota is by looking at the database.

The purpose of the Chain of Command is to ensure organization, so


that regimental High Command are not dealing with issues that the rank
above you can deal with.

ROLE INFORMATION

Commanding Officer (CO)


The Commanding Officer oversees the whole entirety of ETS. They
make sure that everything in the regiment is running smoothly and are
also in charge of hiring XOs and DCOs.
➔ The Commanding Officer will have the paygrade OF-9
➔ The quota for the Commanding Officer is 2 events a week

Executive Officer (XO)


They assist the CO to make sure everything is running smoothly. They
are also in charge of hiring DXOs, RSMs and CoEs.
➔ The Executive Officers will have the paygrade OF-8
➔ The quota for the Executive Officers is 2 events a week

Chief of Education
The role as Executive Officer is to manage and oversee a specific
timezone and to ensure everything is running smoothly.
➔ The Chief of Education will have the paygrade OF-7
➔ The quota for Regimental Sergeant Major is 2 events a week

Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM)


The role of a Regimental Sergeant Major is to constantly update the
database section from their timezone as well as advising the Executive
Officer and Commanding Officer.
➔ The Regimental Sergeant Major will have the paygrade OR-9B
➔ The quota for Regimental Sergeant Major is 2 events a week

Department Commanding Officer (DCO)


The role as Department Commanding Officer is to Manage their
specific timezone and Oversee the whole department, ensuring all time
zones are doing well.
➔ The Department Commanding Officer will have the paygrade OF-6
➔ The quota for the Department Commanding officer is 4 event a
week & oversee their department

Department Executive Officer (DXO)
The role of a Department Executive Officer is to manage their specific
Department timezone. They hire new Recruiting Staff and Department
staff to make sure that their Department is fulfilling its duties.
➔ The Department Executive Officers will have the paygrade OF-5
➔ The quota for the Department Executive Officers is 1 events a day
and to manage their department.

Department Staff (DS)


The Department Staff’s primary role within ETS is to help manage their
department’s staff (Course Instructor or Recruiting Staff) in order to
assist them with anything which they may need help with. They are
also expected to keep the activity alive from in game as well VC.
➔ Department Staff will have the paygrade OF-4
➔ The quota for Department Staff is 2 events a day

Recruiting Staff (RS)


The main Role of a Recruiting Staff is to recruit Regimental Recruits
into ETS.
➔ Recruiting Staff will have the paygrade OF-2
➔ The quota for Recruiting Staff is 2 Tryouts a day

Course Instructor (CI)


The role of a Course Instructor is to host ISCs (Instructor School Course)
for newly recruited ETS members to help them progress within the
regiment.
➔ Course Instructors will have the paygrade OF-2
➔ The quota for Course Instructors is 2 ISCs a day

Chief Drill Instructor (CDI)


Chief Drill Instructor is the highest non-officer rank within ETS. They are
in charge of supervising Junior Drill Instructors and Drill Instructors.
➔ The quota for Chief Drill Instructors is 2 supervisions a day

Senior Drill Instructor (SDI)


The role of a Senior Drill Instructor is mainly to supervise new Junior
Drill Instructors to make sure they are ready and fit to become a Drill
Instructor. They are also still in charge of hosting BMTs when needed.
➔ The quota for Senior Drill Instructor is 1 BMT & 1 Supervision a day

Drill Instructor (DI)


The main role of Drill Instructors is to consistently host BMTs for Basic
Recruits.
➔ The quota for Drill Instructors is 2 BMTs a day

Junior Drill Instructor (JDI)


Junior Instructors are not able to host anything on their own. They need
to get supervised by a Senior Drill Instructor or above. After they pass
said supervision they will be able to host on their own.

Instructor School (IS)


Once you join ETS you start as an Instructor school. You can't host
anything with this rank. In order to become the next rank, you need to
attend an Instructor School Course. This will be held every 30 minutes
by High Ranks from Department 1.

ETS RANK

Instructor School → Junior Drill Instructor


In order to go from Instructor School to Junior Drill Instructor you need to
pass an Instructor School Course (ISC). They are being hosted every single
30 minutes at xx:00 and xx:30 by Department 1 High Ranks. In this ISC you
will learn the basics of ETS.

Junior Drill Instructor → Drill Instructor


To rank up from Junior Drill Instructor to Drill Instructor you need to get
supervised by Senior Drill Instructor or above. Once you complete your
supervision your supervisor will log you in supervision-logs. In order to pass
you need a score of 8/10. Remember as a Junior Drill Instructor you are not
allowed to host on your own.

Drill Instructor → Senior Drill Instructor


In order to rank up from Drill Instructor to Senior Instructor you need to
get supervised by Chief Drill Instructor or above. Once you complete your
supervision your supervisor will log it in supervision logs. In order to pass
you need an 8/10.

Senior Drill Instructor → Chief Drill Instructor


In order to rank up from Drill Instructor to Senior Instructor you need to
get supervised by a Course Instructor or above. Once you complete your
supervision your supervisor will log it in supervision logs. In order to pass
you need an 8/10.

Drill Instructor + → Course Instructor OR Recruiting Staff (HR)


Once you reach the rank of Drill Instructor and you have been in ETS for 5
days you are able to apply for a High Rank position. You can either go for

Recruiting Staff or Course Instructors. You can find the applications in
# ets-staff-recruitment.

Course Instructor OR Recruiting Staff → Department Staff


In order to become a Department Staff you must first be a Course
Instructor or Recruiting Staff. Then you need to show that you have the
capability to become a Department Staff. This can include overall quota
but also Voice Chat activity and more. If your DXO/DCO thinks you have
those traits, Then you will be promoted to Department Staff.
