Position: Elementary School Tech Coordinator


Reports To: School Administrators
Job Goal: Maintain and enhance the use of technology among the school community to align
the school's mission statement.

Description: The tech coordinator is to oversee the use of technology among the school
community to include both physical and digital learning spaces utilized by its members. It is
essential that the tech coordinator maintain existing hardware and software currently in use.
While the tech coordinator must also research and integrate the latest technologies. To align
with the school’s mission, the tech coordinator must also ensure that all school members
including staff, students and stakeholders are provided the proper knowledge and suitable
environment to use technology to its full potential.

Responsibilities:
● Maintains existing district technology
● Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware or software issues
● Collaborate with school administrators and district technology department in
curriculum design
● Research latest technological trends to integrate ones that will enhance the school
community
● Train and assist new staff members to ensure they utilize existing technologies
● Collaborate and offer professional development opportunities to staff members to
enhance use of technology in the curriculum
● Ensure that staff members, students and school community are familiar with netiquette
and proper digital citizenship
● Maintain the school webpage and social media
● Demonstrate professionalism and proper work ethic

Evaluations:
Performance will be based in accordance with standards set by the district (see below). As
well as those set forth by the ISTE.
