Part list structure 5.387173 No. 1
B) The parts list specifies: Position Numbers, quantity, designation and data, drawing or parts list number,
material, weight, and grouping of supply for each of the components of the precipitator.
C) Column 1: The position numbers are the "main key" to the parts list. Each component has a unique pos.
No., which corresponds to that shown on the assembly drawings, showing the physical position of the
sub-parts list. Each component is normally an erection unit, which is described by means of a drawing or
a supplier if nothing else is specified.
The components are grouped corresponding to the physical main groups of the precipitator, each having
an assembly drawing, mentioned first in each group. The assembly drawings etc. are also given a pos.
no. making reference to the drawing possible.
Column 2: "Quantity" shows the necessary number of each component to be used for 1 off the type of
precipitator described on the front page in the precipitator code. If a component is described by means
of a sub-parts list, "Quantity" describes the number of times the sub-parts list is to be repeated.
Column 3: States the designation of the components. Further, it describes the numerical values
corresponding to a row of letters for some of the components. This is the key to the marking of
dimensions on the relevant drawing, which is filled in with letters. This means that the drawing might
often seen to be out of proportion, and it might for instance show more stiffening irons, holes, etc. than
the dimensions indicate. In all cases the dimensions stated must be followed.
Column 5: Material code referring to FLS material data sheets. If several different materials are required
in a component, the code for the main material is named. For a full material specification refer to the
drawing or the sub-parts list.
Main material designation may differ between drawing and parts list. In that case the parts list
designation must be used.
Column 6: States the weight of the total amount of each component. The weight is normally rounded off
to a whole number of kilos.
Column7: "Doc. for or Supply from" explains who is going to receive drawings (1) and explains the
grouping of the supply for the goods (2). It is implied that all suppliers of goods also receive drawings.
D) At the foot of each parts list sheet is a space for remarks for one or more pos. nos.
E) Bolts, screws, fittings etc. are stated by a code number referring to a folder No. 7.000001 named "Code
for parts to be purchased".
