Cultural diversity refers to the diversity of cultural expressions of groups and societies.
Mexico is culturally diverse due to the different indigenous peoples and the history that the
country has experienced over the years.
Mexican culture, particularly today's culture, is a combination of several cultures, from the
Spanish culture that arrived with the Conquest, the diverse cultures of pre-Hispanic Mexico
and even some elements of African cultures that arrived in certain regions when they were
brought as slaves.

Mexicans consume a wide variety of spicy foods and generally use corn to prepare their meals.
Their most famous foods are enchiladas, sopes, quesadillas, tacos, chilaquiles, pozole, mole,
carne asada, etc. Among its most important beverages are tequila and chocolate.
Soccer is the most popular sport in Mexico. Swimming and water sports are also practiced.
Among the most popular Mexican music genres are mariachi, corridos, ranchera, banda
sinaloense and norteña.
Mexico is home to a great variety of animals. Rabbits, armadillos and snakes. The forested areas
are home to spider monkeys, ocelots, anteaters, parrots and toucans.
As for traditions and customs, the most important worldwide is the Day of the Dead Celebrated
on November 1, all the deceased are commemorated with prayers and offerings, and the favorite
dishes of the deceased are placed in homes and cemeteries, along with candles, incense,
photographs and flowers to invite their spirits to enter. Another very important tradition for
Mexicans is Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 15 with the delivery of the
"Grito de Dolores.

Respect for cultural diversity is of utmost importance for everyone; it is about empathy and
recognition despite ideological differences. It is also about recognizing that all this diversity
enriches us as human beings and in our form of expression.
