Why MS building engineering?

Engineering can lead to number of careers but choosing MS in building engineering

wasn’t tough or me with Master’s degree in applied science building engineering and
building science, I’m not only letting future employer know that I have extensive knowledge
of building engineering but also opening myself up for more work opportunities.

What is building engineering?

Building engineering is a part of civil engineering which deals with planning,
designing, constructing operating, renovating and maintaining the building. “It is a specialty
that involves the use of technology to design, construct and maintain building.”

a. Draw plans using AutoCAD.
b. Design 3D model using Revit.
c. Assisting chief engineering in various projects.

Skills
1. AutoCAD
AutoCAD is a computer aided design software developed by the company
Autodesk. It is mainly used to prepared layout drawings, floor plans, sections & elevation.
2. Revit
Revit is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) software that has revolutionized
the construction industry. It is mainly used for designing building can creating 3D model of
architectural design.it is also allows engineer to create detailed building design, visualized
the project in 3D construction drawing.
3. Relation
Building Engineering mainly deals with planning, designing, constructing,
operating and renovating the building. During my job period, I was actively involved in
planning, designing & drafting buildings, which is direct related to course i.e. Building
Engineering. Apart from planning and designing I was also assisting building engineers in
construction new building and renovating old building over the period of 1 years since I
started my job.

Why Building Engineering/ Building Science in BCIT?

Building Engineering deals with planning designing, constructing, operating, renovating and
maintaining the building. As becoming building engineer was my dream, then I came to
know about BCIT. BCIT not only offer theoretical course but it will also help me in gaining
practical knowledge about building engineering in reasonable fee structure for international
student.
