LADDER INSPECTOR

THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 85 OF 1993

General Safety Regulation 13A

I, Pierre Victor do hereby appoint .I.D . to ensure all ladders being used are
inspected, marked, recorded and defects reported in terms of GSR 13A at intervals specified.

(1) “An employee shall ensure that every ladder is constructed of sound material and is suitable for the purpose for
which it is used.”

In terms of GSR 13A you will be required to:

(1) Ensure that all ladders are numbered.

(2) Inspect all ladders monthly and record all findings on the register provided for this.
(3) Report all defects found.
(4) Checklist to be recorded yes or no and not “ticked”.

ACCEPTANCE OF DESIGNATION

required as specified in GSR 13A, and that I am conversant with the relevant statutory provisions of the Occupational
