Different type of modifiers ??

Three different material conditions applicable

1. Regardless of Feature Size (RFS):

All tolerances apply at RFS by default, means no symbol is

needed.

2. Maximum Material Condition: Modifier (MMC):

Provides a feature with additional geometric tolerances as

the feature's size departs from its MMC

3. Least Material Condition Modifier (LMC):

Provides a feature with additional geometric tolerances as
the feature's size departs from its LMC

Different type of modifiers ??

Position
1. RFS: Actual Size Tolerance
Allowed
➢ When a tolerance is applicable at RFS, the
2.5 0.01
specified tolerance is independent of the 2.501 0.01
2.502 0.01
feature's actual size. 2.503 0.01
➢ This means that no matter what the actual 2.504 0.01
2.505 0.01
hole diameter , the applied tolerance is always 2.506 0.01
2.507 0.01
the stated tolerance value.
2.508 0.01
➢ In this case tolerance 0.010. 2.509 0.01
2.51 0.01
