GENERAL RUNNING PROCEDURE

FOR HYDRAULIC SET LINER HANGER
& “ZXP” LINER TOP PACKER
W/ 2RH SETTING TOOL

1 On first joint of casing Bakerlock float shoe on the pin end & float collar on the box.

2 If Ball catcher sub is used, it can be made up & Bakerlocked directly on top of float collar.

3 The landing collar is normally placed on the second or third joint of casing as per
client request. Bakerlock only the pin end and M/U as per program.

4 Fill pipe and p/u casing 40-60’ to operate float valves, fluid should fall and not refill
when pipe is lowered back to the floor.

5 Continue running casing and filling pipe as needed. Use collar clamp until sufficient
weight is reached and place centralizers on casing as per program. ( Be sure to cover
hole with tarp, etc. during the installation as a safety precaution for debris in wellbore)

6 Once last joint is made up, change to DP elevators and P/U liner hanger assembly.
Make up slowly to proper torque and carefully lower assembly through BOP stack.
M/U one stand of DP and circulate volume of liner
. A) If not done on wiper trip, the DP will need to be drifted on the way in the hole.

7 Observe liner weight and continue in hole. Being sure to fill DP every 5-10 stands.

8 Before going into open hole, break circulation & pump liner/ DP volume plus
25%. Make note of up/dn weights and pressures.
At this time make up surface equipment as follows, using a “LC” manifold:
A) LC manifold w/ DP dart installed
B) ball dropping sub w/ ball installed
C) flag sub
D) 1 joint of pipe drifted
Torque all connections and lay down

If using top drive equipment make up surface equipment as follows:

A) 10-15’ DP pup jt.
B) TD swivel w/ totco baffle plate installed in box and Halliburton valve
w/chiksan swivel made up on circulating port in closed position
C) TD plug dropping head w/ DP dart installed
D) TD ball dropping sub w/ ball installed
E) Flag sub
F) 2 singles of drillpipe (already drifted)
Make up entire assembly w/TD unit to 20-22K then stand back in derrick, this assembly
should equal 1 stand of DP. This also allows immediate circulation through top drive system
once on bottom & prior to cementing

9 Continue into open hole slowly, filling pipe as required. To minimize differential
sticking the liner should always be kept moving and connection time expediated. .

10 M/U surface equipment and break circulation, obtain good returns @ 3 BPM
and slowly tag bottom. Bring rates up to desired cementing rates keeping
pressures 30-50% below hanger shear value. (approm. 800 psi)
Continue circulating and conditioning mud to required pH as per cementing program.
A minimum of bottoms up plus liner/dp volume is recommended.

11 Pick up liner in tension to setting depth. Drop 1-3/4” ball and let free fall or circulate dn 1-3
BPM / 300-500 psi

12 Once ball is on seat, pressure up to 1600 psi set hanger as per Baker Eng. maintain pressure
and slack off liner weight plus 15-20000 #. Bring pressure up to 2600 psi shear out ball
seat.

13 Set slips with 10000# across “LC” manifold swivel and 5000-10000# on “2RH”
running tool, work 8 RH turns to the tool to release same. P/U slowly to check free
travel of setting tool. Being careful not to expose setting dog sub.

14 Set back dn. 25-30000# and re-establish circulation rates to desired BPM for cementing.

15 Pump spacers and cement as per program; monitoring rates, pressures & returns.

16 Release DP pump dn. plug per Baker Eng. and displace at maximum rate until
catching cement. Slow rates to required displacement rates and watch for latch up of
DP dart & liner wiper plug. You should see a slight pressure increase once this
happens. If this is observed, you may re-calculate volumes to latch up landing collar.
Do not over-displace.

17 When plug bumps, pressure up to 1000 psi above circulating pressure at latch up.
Hold f/1-5 min. Bleed to “0” to test floats. Note return volume.

18 Pick up DP to expose setting dog sub,. Set back dn. w/minimum weight of 50,700# and
observe liner top packer shear..
A) If you desire you may circulate the long way and begin circulating as you p/u
setting tool out of setting sleeve.
B) If you prefer to reverse circulate, pick up pipe slowly and place setting tool
bottom at liner top, reverse out until returns are clean.
C) You may also wish to pump a nut plug sweep during your circulation to help clean
cement from DP id.
19 POOH and lay down setting tool as per Baker Eng.
Lay dn surface equipment.

NOTES: Always make sure that the personnel involved with the operation above
are in full communication in respect to specific responsibilities, signals to
be used, etc. Hold pre-job planning and safety meetings to ensure a
successful and safe job.
