Study Unit: Digital health and social care - 2022/23 (UG410938)

In this assignment, you are asked to choose an area of informatics in health or social
care in which you can explore the application of theoretical principles of informatics
in the practical context of a workplace environment. Negotiate your chosen topic area
with your tutor and your group.

Assignment Guidelines:
This assignment contributes to 75% of your overall module mark
 Share experiential perspectives through online and/or face-to-face discussion
with your group
 Introduce the rationale and methodology of chosen scenario or case study
 Critically reflect on experiences of professional practice
 Integrate existing knowledge and experience with new perspectives
 Identify practical workplace applications of learning
 Evaluate the approach taken

This assignment aims to maximise opportunities for critical reflection on experiences


of professional practice, for integrating existing knowledge and experience with new
perspectives for practical workplace applications of learning. This assignment will
cover competencies related to the development, organisation and maintenance of an
original information system, using informatics to improve the effectiveness of Health
and Social Care within a specific area.
