1. Student read the argumentative essay and later they explain the main points
and ideas of the essay
2. Students study and highlight the features of the essay that makes it an
argumentative piece of writing.
3. Students write a short introduction (hook, stand and thesis statement) that
reflects an argumentative essay based on a topic given.
4. Students share their writing and the teacher gives feedback as necessary.

Closure: Teacher wraps up the lesson by highlighting the features of a good


essay. (discursive and argumentative)

ii. highlight the features of an argumentative essay
iii. Write a short introduction that reflects an argumentative essay

1. Students watch/listen to the group discussion carried out in the video
presentation.
2. Students answer some questions as they watch/listen to the video
3. Students sit in groups of 3 to 4 and discuss their findings/ comments about
the video they have watched. Their discussion will be based on the questions
given to them.
4. Teacher will give feedback once the discussion is over.
