The introduction of non-native species to an environment can have a big and often serious
impacts on the delicate balance of ecosystems. These species, introduced either intentionally or
accidentally by human activities, can put in danger native organisms for resources, disrupt
established food webs, and alter the physical and chemical characteristics of their new habitat.
As they establish themselves, non-native species may become invasive, causing irreversible
changes that threaten the biodiversity and ecological integrity of the native ecosystem. The far-
reaching consequences of these introductions highlight the importance of understanding and
managing the interactions between species in order to preserve the health and functioning of
natural environments. One evidence that supports our point is that, according to
https://www.environmentalscience.org/, the hemlock woolly adelgid, an invasive insect from
Asia that, rapidly kills infested hemlock trees. In some parts of the Eastern United States, it is
estimated that up to 80% of hemlock trees have been killed. These forests represent important
habitat for many animals and with crucial habitat gone, species that rely on them may face
extinction. Other examples of invasive species are: The Gypsy Moth, Nutria, Zebra Mussel,
Hydrilla, Sea Lamprey and Kudzu are examples of non-natives that have caused massive
economic and ecological losses in new locations because the natural controls of their native
ecosystems were not there.

Analyzing the problem about intruding a non-native species, we can tell that when a non-
native species is introduced into a different ecosystem, this species wouldn't have natural
predators so it would start reproducing and consuming every surviving resource from the
native species causing the extinction of plants, animals, and the dead of the ecosystem. In
conclusion, non-native species might not be introduced in a new location because it can
have different consequences on the location, affecting the food webs and the different
resources, as it can get to the extinction of an animal.
