FIRE INCIDENT

1. If the alarm goes on

2. Don't panic
3. Check the location of the Alarm point from the PC Fire Alarm System
4. Division of Tasks Engineer On duty, Engineer 1 & 2 Check the Location of the Alarm
Point, Engineer 3 Standby Foc To keep monitoring, make sure to bring a
communication device (handy talky), emergency stair case key & Light Fire
Extinguisher (APAR)

 (ALARM FALSE)
 If there is no fire/smoke at the detector point that detects it, inform engineer 3 (standby
FOC that there is no fire/smoke at the alarm location)
 Engineer 1 to the FCC room to reset the MCFA Panel & engineer 2 Standby at the
Alarm point to ensure the Detector is Active
 After Reset, Engineer 1 informs Engineer 2 that the alarm has been reset
 Engineer 2 confirmed that the detector is Normal (indicator light of the detector
Blingking/flashing)
 If the detector cannot be reset, remove the detector and clean the detector and reset it
again

 (ALARM TRUE)
 Engineers 1 & 2 inform engineer 3 that there is a fire/smoke point at the alarm point
 Engineer 3 informs NOC, Core Member & Security that there is Fire/Smoke at the
Alarm location
 If the Fire Can Be Extinguished, Engineers 1 & 2 try to extinguish the Fire using a fire
extinguisher, IHB or Hydrant Pillar
 For IHB or Hydrant Pillar Use, more than 7 people are required consisting of :
Pumpman
: Valve controller (valveman)
: Hoseman
: nozzle holder (Nozzleman)
: Command Officer ( Commando)
: Support Officer
 Pumpman
Pumpman is a team that is on standby in the hydrant pump room. They are in
charge of preparing and performing various actions necessary for fire pumps or
those operating fire pumps.

 Valveman
The valveman's job is to operate the hydrant valve. This team is in charge of opening and
closing the hydrant valve and regulating the rate of water flow.
 Hose holder (Hoseman)
Hoseman is a fire brigade responsible for handling fire hoses. They are in charge of
preparing fire hoses & hose holders to the fire area, this team needs -+4 people due to the
water output from the high pressure fire hose.
 Nozzleman
A nozzleman is in charge of holding the hydrant nozzle at the end of the fire hose and
setting the water spray pattern. They are also responsible for adjusting the flow of water
according to fire conditions.
 Petugas komando (Commando)
Commando is in charge of contacting and coordinating with all other firefighters. Calling
emergency assistance and providing fire situation reports is also the task of the
commando.
 Support Officer
The support team is tasked with cleaning the area where the fire occurred so that it can be
passed easily and safely by other firefighters.
STEP BY STEP USING HYDRANT PILLAR
 Hydrant Location
Identify where the location of the hydrant pillar or hydrant valve is closest to the
fire location. Usually, the hydrant pillar is outside the building adjacent to the
hydrant box.
 Prepare All Fire Extinguishing Equipment
Take the equipment needed for the firefighting process, such as fire hoses and
hydrant nozzles. Don't forget to check if the extinguishing equipment is working
properly.
 Connect the Fire Hose
Connect the end of the fire hose to the hydrant pillar outlet or hydrant valve.
Make sure the connection connection is strong enough to avoid water leakage &
Make sure the fire hose is not folded so that the water rate is not interrupted Also
attach the hydrant nozzle to the other end of the fire hose.
 Open Hydrant Valve
Turn the hydrant valve clockwise on the hydrant pillar or hydrant valve to open
the water flow. Do it slowly to avoid high water pressure and it can cause damage
to the hydrant pipe.

 Turn on the water flow

If the fire hose is well connected, slowly open the O-Position "Open" valve on
the extinguisher hose to start the flow of water
 Use of Extinguisher Hose
Hold firmly the nozzle or end of the extinguishing hose. Direct the flow of water
to the point of fire precisely (Opposite to the fire) and be careful. Make sure the
position is within the range of the fire hose, so that it can effectively control the
flow of water.
 Turn off the Fire Hydrant
If the fire extinguishing process is complete, inform the pumpman so that the
electric/diesel fire pump can be turned off, if the electric/diesel fire pump has
been turned off, turn the hydrant valve back in a counterclockwise direction to
turn off the water flow, position the valve fire hose to the S "stop" position &
make sure that the water flow in the hydrant has completely stopped before the
extinguisher hose is released.
 Recheck the building equipment
Make sure everything is back to normal
