Chicago to Hyderabad 2020

1. Book only Business class tickets, preferably on Air India.✈

2. Get RT PCR test 72hrs prior to departure. Mostly will get email with results within 24hrs.

to upload passport copy. And provide a valid email ID 📧

3. After getting report fill out Self reporting form on AirSuvidha, from Delhi Airport website. Need
will receive a copy of this form.
4. Then fill out Quarantine exemption form. You need to upload RT PCR negative report. If more
than one person traveling on same PNR you can add them together.

5. Take hard copies of your ticket, Self reporting form, Quarantine exemption form and RT PCR

6. At the check in counter they will give you one disposable mask
and a face shield
few sachets of sanitizers

7. In Chicago Airport security check we had to keep all the food carrying in the tray for scanning,

including chocolates
8. Highly recommended to carry some food as flight food is worst than before
9. Before landing in Delhi, will need to fill out Self declaration form for each passenger given by
flight crew, it's basically stating that Airindia is not responsible if we contract covid. On ground
some said you need not have to fill if you did it online, but it's always better to fill out.
10. We had tough luck as one of the passengers got seriously ill and had to turn back to Chicago

after about an hr of flying and flight was delayed by 5 and half hrs. Unfortunately that passenger
passed away
11. We missed our on going flight to Hyderabad, they gave us flight to Hyderabad next day
morning and had to take all our checked luggage and our immigration was done in Delhi itself.
12. Keep your paperwork and passport handy as you have to show several times.
13. On one of the counters they stamped on exemption form as self quarantine.
15. Through out we had one airindia personal with us as we were traveling in first class, but still
people are there to direct us.
16. Finally they gave us new boarding pass for next day flight and were taken to hotel nearby, all
expenses paid by airindia, including food at the hotel.
17. We were taken in a bus and checked into a hotel, staff were not ready to help with our

luggage into the rooms, everyone including elderly passengers had carry their luggage to rooms.

18 Next day morning we reached Delhi domestic departures terminal and it was totally a fish
market
19. No help or guidance signs anywhere, we had to find our way and all seemed business as
usual, the only change is masks on everyone, covering only neck, or chin or nose as they like. 😷

20. Lengthy security check and we boarded flight safely.
21. Breakfast was given, which was for a change very good
22. Reached Hyderabad safely, staying in hotel and planning on staying for couple of days.
