1. Implementation of Catch-Up Fridays

NOTES

1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 001, s. 2024 titled

“IMPLEMENTATION OF CATCH-UP FRIDAYS”, our school shall adhere
and make the necessary preparations for the immediate implementation
beginning tomorrow January 12, 2024.
2. All Fridays of January 2024 shall be dedicated to the “Drop Everything and
Read” (DEAR) activity and orientation for field officials.
3. Teachers are expected to prepare reading materials to be used for
tomorrow’s activity.
4. When the bell rings, it signals the start of reading program.
9 am – morning
3 pm – afternoon
5. Lesson plan for DEAR is to postpone internally due to tight time and
technicality. Will implement the appropriate LP in the succeeding weeks.

6. Refer to DM No. 026, s. 2024 for the suggested activities to consider for
DEAR program.

7. Aside from reading, the focus of Catch-up Fridays is also to foster Values,
Health, and Peace Education. Additionally, the Homeroom Guidance
Program shall also be included.
8. Separate meeting will be called upon to discuss further the Catch-up
Fridays.
