CAREER PROFILE

Mahdi Hindeyeh is a US citizen with a Civil Engineering degree and over 32 years’ experience in managing
large Size Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Projects in the US, the Middle East and Asia. His
experience covers water supply and wastewater infrastructure projects starting from feasibility studies,
master planning, conceptual & detailed design development, preparation of tender documents,
procurement strategy and procurement planning, program management, construction supervision,
testing & commissioning, facility handover, operation and maintenance and asset management.

Mr. Hindeyeh has extensive experience in Design & Construction of:

- Water Supply Infrastructure Projects: ground water (wellfield) drilling and water purification /
treatment plants using Osmosis (RO); surface water purification using conventional water
treatment plants (WTPs); and sea water Reverse Osmosis (RO) Desalination Plants. Projects also
include associated components such as water storage tanks (product water), water reservoirs,
pumping stations, conveyance, and water distribution network
- Wastewater / Sanitation Infrastructure Projects: wastewater collection systems, lift stations,

Engineering & Design Development of Water Supply & Wastewater Infrastructure: More than 27 years of
extensive experience in master planning, feasibility studies, preliminary & detailed design of water and
wastewater systems. Led A&E infrastructure multidiscipline design teams in delivering design projects in the
US and the Middle East. Involved in the entire “Design Development” process lifecycle including:

 Engineering / Technical Studies: carryout necessary studies and perform critical evaluation of the
results of the pre-feasibility and or feasibility studies and prepare inception reports; Environmental
and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA); economic and financial studies including project cost benefit
analysis; Green Climate Fund (GCF) concept notes and application; Climate Change Adaptation plans;
energy efficiency studies as well as renewable energy generation (solar, biogas: waste-to-energy, and
hydropower); environmental management plans; flood control and hydrology sties of the sites;
water / wastewater treatment technology assessment;

 Package No. 2 Installation of water pipe networks between the 87 wells into one main line to feed

- Marana Regional Water Treatment Plant, capacity 170,000 m3/day. The project includes construction of
42 km 1200 mm water transmission pipeline convey the treated water from the WTP to the Marana
Reservoir in the City of Tucson.
- South 40th Street Main Sewer Line: Replace existing 12-inch diameter sewage pipe with 36-inch diameter
pipe to increase hydraulic capacity of the sewer system.
- Expansion & Upgrade of Ina Road Wastewater Treatment Plant (capacity 55,000 m 3/day): The expansion
will provide additional capacity to handle extra flows and addition of chlorination system as tertiary
system.
- Roger Road Sewage Inlet Lift Station at Prince Road. Provide new 3 pumps and expand the wet-well
- Central Arizona Project (CAP): The (CAP) convey water from Colorado River to Arizona. Involved in the
Construction of system components of the project including:
o Havasu Channel and Hayden-Rhodes Aqueduct: Includes Pumping Station to pump water from
the lake to the inlet of water transfer pipeline.
o Fannin-McFarland Aqueduct: Consists of the Salt-Gila Pumping Plant and about 57 miles of
open, concrete-lined canal.
o Tucson Aqueduct/ Transfer pipe: 87 miles and includes nine pumping plants, one major
inverted siphon and two major pipeline sections
