BASICS OF 3D DRAWING

 3D coordinate system
 Object drawing using standard
solids
 Solid editing
Instructional objective

Students can utilize basic methods in

creating 3D drawing objects
3D coordinate system
 3D Cartesian Coordinate System
 Cylindrical Polar Coordinate System
 Spherical Polar Coordinate System
3D Cartesian Coordinate System

 Is formulated in the
form of (X, Y, Z).
 The X axis shows the
width of the object,
the Y axis shows the
length or height, and
the Z axis shows the
depth of an object.
Cylindrical Polar Coordinate System

 Is formulated in the form of

(distance<angle,level).
 The form of
@distance<angle is the same
as 2D polar coordinate, but is
added by the
level/depth/elevation of the point
in the Z axis.
Spherical Polar Coordinate System

 Is formulated in the form of

(distance<angle<elevation
angle)
 The form of @distance<angle is
the same as 2D polar coordinate,
but is added by the elevation
angle to form the relative
elevation of the point to the
original (previous) point.
