Write-up on leadership qualities you need to develop on a day-to-day basis, starting today. These
qualities should help you become a true leader.

Leadership is the act, value, and ability to influence a group or organization in reaching
their desired goal by means of empowering each other. It is a vital position of a leader because it
is a function that manages a group. It helps to direct an association’s resources in order to enhance
the efficiency and accomplishment of goals. A person that knows the way pursues the way and
shows it to everyone, or the organization is a great example that sets the character of good
leadership. Leadership is more than having titles and positions in an organization; instead, it is
about influencing or impacting a person to others. Having exemplary leadership leads to
coordination among members, enabling practical work and achieving the team goal. It serves as a
motivational tool by exhibiting the right path and giving rise to members' confidence.
On a day-by-day basis, the leadership qualities that I have been practicing are being
responsible. Being responsible is a great way to have a great result on what I’m working with. I
am guided on things that I should do next and soon—being responsible means having a duty or
obligation to deal with someone or something. It is the control of an individual, group of people,
or something in order to have significant progress or excellent outcomes. The second quality is
having respect. Respecting others is a superior quality of being a good leader because, in this
world, intelligence is not the only thing that matters. We also need respect for us to work
effectively. The third quality is being self-aware. I always observed my actions each day to see if
I did any productive things or did I made progress. I do the reason that I can plan the things that I
need to do next. Designing things is excellent practice to be a great leader because you organize
or manage your time well and prevent yourself from cramming or procrastinating. But overall, I
conclude that these three are not enough for me to become a true leader. There are other qualities
like focusing on developing other, being ethical or civic-minded, practicing effective cross-cultural
communication, and more.
As a student that is undertaking a course in civil engineering, I conclude that the qualities
that I need to develop on a day-by-day basis starting today are having creativity and innovation,
math skills, problem-solving, paying attention to details, communication skills, logical thinking
and reasoning, natural curiosity, and more. These qualities will be a big help for me in the future
when I am dealing with building infrastructures or buildings because I will be able to understand
and analyze problems of conflicts and bring up alternative solutions.
