This scaffolding structure lacks safety support and the worker has no harness and PPE.This falls under the ergonomic
hazards.
Unsafe Condition

The worker does not follow the proper safety measures while working on a scaffold. While working on a scaffold, it is
CAUSE/REASON a must that all of the control measures will be applied. Additionally, the worker does not have a proper PPE, safety
harness and having a lack of guardrails which will prevent him from falling.

A new scaffolding should be replaced with a safe space above for the workers to have a rest and a fence to avoid from
slipping or falling down. This way, the risk of falling will be mitigated and addressed witb additional requirement of
PPE's for the workers

The purpose of the engineering controls is to provide built-in harness on the scaffold to prevent the risk of workings
not wearing inappropriate PPE.

Traning should be required to the workers before working in scaffolding or construction. Signages should also be
placed around na workspace area to present a reminder to the people. Lastly, the workers should have a safety
certificate such as BOSH or COSH for them to be able to properly work and.
