Writing Test
Choose one of the following topics to write about. Write at least five sentences.

• Imagine that you are planning a party with some friends or family. Who is the party for and why? What is
involved in planning the event? Who will you get to help you? What things will you have them do?

• You have a new neighbor who has just moved in and has asked you to recommend services. Think of a
business you use a lot. What can you get done there? Tell your new neighbor why you recommend this
business.

Imagine that you are planning a party with some friends or family.

Every year, my family plans a birthday party for Mom. It's a labor of love, and this year, I'm determined to make it
extra special. Knowing Mom thrives in warm gatherings, I'll rely on my siblings to help create a guest list of her
closest friends, extended family, and even some cherished neighbors.

I will be in charge of deciding on the location based on Mom's preference. If she's up for a fancy restaurant dinner,
her favorite place could be lovely. However, if she prefers a more intimate gathering, a potluck at home might be a
better choice. Besides, we'll also create a signup sheet where guests can choose dishes to bring, ensuring dietary
balance.

In addition, entertainment should be tailored for enjoyment. Since my mom cherishes old family photos, I'll create a
digital slideshow showcasing her life's journey. Here, my tech-savvy cousin comes in.

The key to a successful party is not just the food or decorations. It's about the love and effort poured into making
someone feel special, and I really hope I can succeed in celebrating my mother's birthday party. After all, a party
isn't just a gathering; it's a testament to the love and appreciation we share.
