Note: For all cutting/excavation/subbase and filling jobs, it will be the responsibility and duty of the contractor to take joint initial levels with Engg.-In-Charge in all cases before commencing the work.
The joint levels should be certified by the contractor as well as HPCL Engg.-In-Charge. The payments will be made basis the initial levels and final levels taken jointly and certified. The payment for all
cutting / excavation will be made at the lower rate applicable for 0 to 3 m and the higher rate will be paid only for the portion beyond 3 m depth. If the contractor fails to take jointly certified levels, the
levels as taken by HPCL Engg.-In-Charge shall be treated as final and all payments will be released basis the levels so taken by the HPCL Engg.-In-Charge.

30. REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE : Providing , Mixing, laying and placing RCC 1:1.5:3 mix with ordinary Portland cement using 20 mm and down size graded crushed stone aggregate
including providing and fixing necessary plywood(minimum 19 mm thick)/ steel shuttering , scaffolding, machine mixing, compacting by mechanical vibrators (needle / skid etc), curing, hacking the
surface to receive plaster using plastic / PVC sheet of thickness minimum 20micron under RCC, as directedwherever required. etc. all complete. Machine mixing to be done without exception. Rate
shall be exclusive of the cost of steel reinforcement, Concrete shall conform to relevant specifications of IS 456:2000 Latest Edition. For footings/foundations / plinth beam / floor beam / retaining wall
etc.
Superplasticiser Rheobuild SP1 (Napthalene base) shall be dosed in mixing water after 50-70% of mixing water has been added in the mixer machine. The Dosage will be in the range of 0.6% to
0.8% by weight of cement (i.e. 300ml - 400ml per 50 kg. bag of cement) to get desired workability. Equivalent Napthalene based superplasticiser may be used in manufacturer's specified
proportions/methods after prior approval of Engg.-in-Charge .

If masonry wall is over 600mm thick, a line of headers (not less than 450mm length ) overlapping each other by 150mm shall be laid. Bond stones shall be distinctly marked on its face during
construction for verification. Quoin / key / corner stone shall not be less than 0.03cum in volume. FOR SUBSTRUCTURE
45. Masonary with CC blocks of size 400mmx200mmx200mm in CM 1:3. The concrete blocks to be moulded with mix 1:3:6 using 1 part of cement, 3 parts of course sand and 6 parts of 40mm
downsize graded stone aggregate The job includes casting of CC blocks with the help of moulds by machine mixed mix of 1:3:6 in steel/wooden moulds, placing, compacting by hand ramming, pond
curing of the blocks for a period of 14 days etc, all complete. Care to be taken while removing of moulding to be done carefully without such shock and vibration as to damage the block.. Masonary to
be carried out with these blocks in CM 1:3 (1 part of cement and 3 parts of course sand). Scope of job includes raking the joints to 1 cm deep, scaffolding, curing etc all complete as per specifications.
The masonary to be done in the fashion similar to the brick masonary. 12.0MM Plastering shall be done on the masonary, which shall be paid separately under plastering head. .

Contractor has to submit purchase proof of SS pipes. Additionally samples will be drawn from the SS sections so used and will be tested in a reputed laboratory for conformity to SS-304 parameters
and physical details at contractor's cost.
Rate to include supplying and fixing of required collars and fixing the same by using cement mortar 1:3. All pipes must be new and perfectly sound, free from cracks, cylindrical, straight and of
standard nominal diameter and length with even texture. Test certificates from manufacture shall be submitted and approved by Engg.-In-Charge before use, all complete. Diameter 1000mm NB
Plinth area of building at ground floor only shall be measured for payment. The work shall be carried out by a qualified agency as approved by Engg.-In-Charge. Contractor will have to submit 10
years guarantee bond on Rs. 100/- stamp paper for the treatment.

109. Providing and fixing not less than 18 mm thick pre polished water cut grey granite slabs over steps or as advised including providing 25mm thick bed cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse
sand) ,as per design incl. chamfered edges and polished nosing. Rate includes 8 mm thick polished black granite tile work in nosing as per drawing. Job includes finishing the joints with white
cement mixed with matching colour pigment.
The slab should have following minimum dimensions. Width = 0.8 M, Length = 1.2M, Thickness = 18 mm, The slabs have to be fixed by taking services of highly skilled mesons true to plumb
complete in all respect. Granite slabs used shall not be more than six nos. In case of increase in no. of slabs prior approval of Engg.-In-Charge shall be obtained.
With fixing LOGO supplied by HPCL: Including fixing of logo and electrification for the same. Granite used shall be minimum 18 mm thick.
113. Providing and laying in situ seven course water proofing treatment with APP (Atactic PolyPropylene) modified Polymeric memberane manufactured by Bengal Bitumen, Integrated Waterproofing
Ltd or General Membranes over roof consisting of first coat of bitumen primer @ 0.40Kg per sqm, 2nd, 4th & 6th courses of bonding material @ 1.20 Kg/sqm, which shall consist of blown type
bitumen of grade 85/25 conforming to IS : 702, 3rd and 5th layers of roofing membrane APP modified Polymeric membrane 1.5mm thick of 2.25 Kg/sqm weight consisting of five layers prefabricated
with centre core as 20micron HMHDPE film sandwiched on both sides with polymeric mix and the polymeric mix is protected on both side with 20micron HMHDPE film.
7th, the top most layer shall be finished with F.P.S. brick tiles of class designation 100 grouted with cement mortar 1:3 (1cement:3 fine sand) mixed with 2% integral water proofing compound by

All holes, cracks, patches etc shall be made good with material similar to that of the surface. The painting shall be applied in specified coats or more so as to obtain the desired finish. If additional
coats are required to obtain uniform and smooth finish, the same shall be carried out at no extra cost. The job includes provision of scaffolding using safety precautions, curing etc as required.
WHITEWASH : Providing and applying 3 coats of white wash to plastered and concrete surfaces by mixing binder, , glue, indigo etc. complete as per IS: 712- Latest Edition.

135. Supply and fixing termite resistant ISI marked prelaminated solid core type wooden flush doors as per IS 2202 Part 1:1999 (Plywood face panels) finished with 1 mm thick laminates of approved
colour/pattern on both sides and of total thickness not less than 34 mm. All the edges shall be pasted with teakwood beading duly painted in approved colour as per directions of Engg.-In-Charge.
Rate shall be inclusive of all labour, fixing the door in frame in true plumb, line and level & supply and fixing heavy duty 3 nos. stainless steel (SS) hinges of 100 mm length, 2 nos. SS aldrops of 200
mm length one from inside and other from outside, SS tower bolt of 200 mm length and door stopper etc. all complete. Approved Make: Kitply/ Anchor Board/ Wonder wood/ Duro/ National or
equivalent. Teak wood door frame will be paid for separately as per relevant item.
Rate to include all labour, carpentry, making chases, grooves, polish and provision of 6nos. M.S.holdfast 25x4x230mm per frame with nuts and bolts as required and grouted in situ in concrete blocks
of mix 1:2:4 and of size as directed. For concrete surfaces, 12mm diameter counter sunk anchor bolts or coarch screws shall be used for fixing of all door frames, finishing the frames with putty and
two coats of approved matching polish/enamel paint. Inner surface of teak wood frame shall be coated with anti-termite solution etc. all complete.

The display will be boxed from top using the same block board panel. Please refer Drawing No. HPCL-A-J-S-DD-2. Only front elevation will be measured for payment purpose. Individual glass shelf
panels will be of size 900x300x12 mm placed in side staggered way with 2 nos. 6x10mm capsule slots cut symmetrically @ 150 mm c/c to accomodate stoppers.
The Aluminum box runner will be of Hindalco section TU 3251 40x25x2mm @ 0.66 kg/m and C section will be Hindalco section 2240 25.4x12.7x2 @ 0.252 kg/m. Equivalent sections of Jindal
Aluminium may also be used. Only stainless steel screws will be used for fixing purpose. Glass shelf panels will have a clear distance of 137 mm from front glazing glass.
The rate quoted shall include cost of bolts, nuts, washers, welding and electrodes and any other consumables required for completing the work. The bolts , nuts , washers, welds etc shall not be
separately measured and paid for.
164. Supply , erection and fixing of 6 mm thick corrugated asbestos cement sheet ridge pieces of Everest make or approved equivalent including supply and fixing of bitumen/GI washer, 8 mm dia.
GI J bolt etc. The sheets shall be laid with end lap of minimum 15 cm. Purlins, rafters and trusses will be paid for separately as per relevant items. The superficial running length of the covering shall
be measured and no allowance for laps and corrugations shall be made.
165. GI SHEET ROOFING : Supplying and fixing corrugated GI sheet (20 SWG) roofing of approved make and following thicknesses with GI 'J' or 'L' hooks 10mm dia; GI limpet and bitumen washer
complete. Rate to exclude purlins, rafters, trusses etc, which shall paid under separate head.
The ceiling sections should be fixed to intermediate channels with connecting clips (India Gypsum code no. ME9). GI grid shall be fixed to RCC slab above with the help of 25x0.5 mm strap hanger
(India Gypsum code no. MF 8) and soffit cleat (India Gypsum code no. P534). The joints between soffit cleat and strap hanger and GI grid & strap hanger shall be with 6.4x12.7 mm nut and bolt (India
Gypsum code no. P526). Soffit cleat shall be fixed to RCC ceiling with W.E. type 12 mm dia, 17/16" long steel rawl plug. Maximum c/c distance (both ways) of strap hangers shall be 1200 m. The
Gypboard shall be fixed fixed to GI grid with 25 mm long Drawall screws. The Gypboard to be used shall be 12.5 mm thick tapered edge boards. The boards shall be taped & filled from underside to
ceiling.
The rate shall be inclusive of additional ceiling sections and intermediate channels shall be provided at openings for light fixtures, AC ducts, vertical drops, offsets etc Additional intermediate channels
shall be fixed to strap hangers at every 1200 mm for additional support to prevent strap hangers from buckling/swaying. Item to be completed in all respect including necessary sleeves for ducts ,
finishing of joint cut outs, supports for AC grills, light fixtures, speakers etc. complete as per directions of Engg.-In-Charge.

Septic tanks of larger capacity may be made utilising different items as components, measured and paid accordingly as per relevant item specifications and rates.
Rate to include wall chasing and rough plastering. Providing and fixing single pole 5A modular plate switches of ANCHOR ROMA/MK/FINOLEX/HAVELL-CRABTREE/SSK make of approved

377. Installation of MPD pumps in true plumb, line and level on pedestal over painted MS base frame fabricated out of minimum 65x65x6 MS angle/ as per manufacturer's specification alongwith
holdfasts grouted in PCC 1:2:4, providing, fixing and grouting foundation bolts, connecting suction pipe, electrical, earthing connections to the pump, assisting during commissioning etc. complete.
Chain pully mechanism or portable crane/Hydra will be deployed without extra cost for safe handling of the pump. Labours needed for commissioning activity will be provided by the vendor. MS angle

395. Degassing and cleaning of underground tanks of capacity 9 to 11 KL at retail outlets strictly as per following steps. Necessary excavation and dewatering ,if subsoil water occurs, are included in
scope. The work shall be carried out only if Engg.-In-Charge or his authorised representative is present at site:
(a) The area will be cardoned off and Caution Signs will be placed around the area in Hindi and English both.
(b) Dedicated supervisor, fire extinguishers and tools and tackles shall be deployed as advised by Engg.-In-Charge.
(c) WORK PERMIT from HPCL Engg.-In-Charge will be taken. Work SHALL NOT be commenced without issuance of proper WORK PERMIT by HPCL.
(d) The tank to be degassed and cleaned will be taken out of operation and all connections, fittings etc. shall be disconnected.
(e) The open ends of connecting pipes shall be caped properly.
(f) The tank shall be filled up with clean water till brim of the neck top and will be left for 24 hours in the same condition.
(g) After 24 hours the water in tank will be pumped into a tanker using ELECTRICALLY SAFE PUMP WITH FLAME ARRESTOR. The water shall not be discharged in water bodies or drainage
systems. The water will be discharged at an unobjectionable place by the contractor.
(h) The vapour content in emptied tank will be checked using Explosimeter or Gassometer. Authorised person must record that tank is gasfree and fit for entry for taking up cleaning job.
(i) As a precaution oxygen cylinders will be emptied into the tank.
(j) Cleaning of the tank must be done under supervision. The cleaning shall not start unless dedicated supervisor and standby personnel are present at the tank location where cleaning has to be
actually done.
(k) The personnel who are to enter the tank shall be provided with safety gloves, safety shoes, helmets and portable oxygen mask. They will enter the tank only after wearing the same. The pale and
scrapper etc. used shall be made either of Aluminium, Brass, Copper or of substances which do not generate spark and do not accumulate static charges.
(l) The ladder to be used for desending into tank shall be sturdy and shall be made of either Aluminum or Wood. It will be anchored with tank manhole neck and will be of full height till tank bottom,
resting properly.
(m) To avoid suffocation and exhaustion, the cleaning will be done in rotation. At any time number of standby personnel will not be less than number of personnel inside doing cleaning.
(n) The sludge will be collected in drums and stored at retail outlet/ carried and stored at nearest HPCL depot as advised by Engg.-In-Charge. After removal of sludge complete internal surface will be
thorougly cleaned and wiped using cotton waste.
(o) After completion of the cleaning, the contractor shall inform the authorised person and the completion date and time will be recorded. If cleaned tank is not to be exhumed, manhole covers will be
put and fixed back alongwith fittings and connections etc. complete. In case the tank has to be exhumed also, the contractor shall proceed as advised by Engg.-In-Charge. In either case manhole
covers, connections etc. SHALL NOT be placed back into place without prior approval of Engg.-In-Charge.
406. Double storey building : Specs as item no. 405 but double storey. Payment basis ground plinth area only.
409. Scrapping / chipping /breaking old plaster from walls and loose RCC work viz, beams, columns, slabs etc and disposing the debris to an unobjectionable area as directed by the HPCL engineer-
in-charge. Rate to include scrapping the plaster with the help of chisel, mallet etc to reach upto the bare brick surface and disposing alongwith all labour t&p etc required for complete execution.
411. Dismantling of rubble masonary above plinth level only including disposal of debris as directed. For masonary below plinth excavation shall be paid separately.
412. Dismantling of Cement concrete above plinth level only including disposal of debris as directed. For works below plinth excavation shall be paid separately.

All the aggregates/constituents shall conform to the specifications as given and cost of material testing as well as testing done post facto for acceptance of the construction shall be inclusive in the
scope. It shall be ensured prior to actual execution that the material to be used in the sub-base satisfies the requirements of CBR and other physical requirements when compacted and finished. This
shall be verified by performing CBR tests in government approved laboratory as required and advised by Engg.-In-Charge on specimens remoulded at field dry density and moisture content and any
other tests for the quality of materials, as may be necessary. Contractor has to satisfy himself about the quality/compactness of sub-grade before laying the sub-base. No consideration of complaints
shall be undertaken in this regard after laying of subbase. Any defect in subgrade has to be brought to the notice of Engg.-In-Charge and corrective action to be taken as per his advice. Decision of
Engg.-In-Charge regarding suiatbility of subgrage for laying of subbase shall be final and binding on the vendor. Preparation of subgrade by removing all vegetation and other extraneous matter,
lightly sprinkling with water if necessary and rolling with two passes of 8-10MT roller shall be inclusive in the scope.
Note: For all cutting/excavation and filling jobs, it will be the responsibility and duty of the contractor to take joint initial levels with Engg.-In-Charge in all cases before commencing the work. The joint
levels should be certified by the contractor as well as HPCL Engg.-In-Charge. The payments will be made basis the initial levels and final levels taken jointly and certified. The payment for all cutting /
excavation will be made at the lower rate applicable for 0 to 3 m and the higher rate will be paid only for the portion beyond 3 m depth. If the contractor fails to take jointly certified levels, the levels as
taken by HPCL Engg.-In-Charge shall be treated as final and all payments will be released basis the levels so taken by the HPCL Engg.-In-Charge.
( Hot molten asphalt to be mixed with aggregates ( 66% of 12 to 20 mm size and 34% of 6 to 12 mm size graded crushed stone aggregates) @ 56 Kg./CUM of aggregates). BROKEN SAND STONE
SHALL NOT BE USED AS AGGREGATES. The macadam course shall be laid in two layers of around equal thickness, each layer shall be rolled and compacted. Tack coat shall be applied
between the two layers@ 9.8 kg per 10 sqm.

Proper slope to be provided in driveway for easy draining of rain water. Reduced level of the driveway area to be taken jointly with architect before commencement of concreting and after concreting
and the thickness of RCC to be checked. Testing of cube, reinforcement steel, stone aggregates, sand, cement etc. to be carried out by contractor at no extra cost. Tubing, ducting, trenching and
other necessary embedded items in concrete shall be checked with architect / HPCL representative before concreting.
The drying time should be within 5 minutes and dry coat thickness to be 2.5 mm.
Rate shall be inclusive of all material, labour, tools & tackles, power, heating apparatus etc. all complete. Work shall be carried out ensuring safety at outlet and as per approved drawing and plan.
The fitting will be done on brick masonry/concrete walls as per manufacturer specified procedures and approved nails/fixtures in line and level as per advice of Engg.-in-Charge (Engg.-In-Charge).
Powder coated MS angle edge protection shall be provided to make it theft resistant. Measurement and payment shall for per no. of 33inch long and 4" wide LDS provided as per Engg.-In-Charge
advice.
NOTE : All the asphalting jobs shall be started only after stacking bitumen at the site as per theoretical calculation considering the area. The total job including seal coat to be carried
out in one go. In case of any delay in laying the seal coat after laying the premix carpet, additional tack coat @ 5.0 Kg per 10 sqm to be laid without any extra payment.

7 Purchase proof of any material may be asked by HPCL from the contractors. HPCL reserves right to
approach to original manufacturers, authorised dealers/resellers or any other agency/laboratory for
verification of quality/purchase of materials and documents submitted by contractor. Appropriate penal action
will be taken against the contractor found defaulting including deductions of amount whole or in part as per
discretion of HPCL and also may result in removal of name of the contractor from approved vendors list of
HPCL.
8 The RCC for all foundation/ D/Way/ Slabs shall have exposed RCC finish i.e. no plastering shall be done on
finished surface of RCC except in case when written permission has been granted by Engg.-In-Charge, at no
extra cost.
9 WBM wherever carried out should be with murrum or stone dust as binder. In no case mud, soil, sand etc
shall be used as binder till written approval of EIC is obtained..
10 For all mortar/mix preparation mechanical / hand mixer usage is mandatory. In no case hand mixing shall be
permitted. Written approval from EIC or for jobs involving less than one bag cement consumption may be
exempted.
11 In no case any welding/hot work shall be carried out at any of the retail outlet premises unless and untill
special hot work permit/written approval is sought from the EIC.
12 Proper formwork as specified in the specifications has to be used in all PCC/RCC works. In no case
brick/unfinished planks OR make shift arrangements shall be accepted as shuttering.
13 Technical specifications and specifications given under job schedule are complimentary to each other. In
case of any difference between the two, specifications given under job schedule will govern.
