I am always fascinated by the field of business and no business is successful without efficient
management. I have studied commerce field before in my previous education and it is a business field. I

Countries I Researched

I want to have an international qualification so I searched for different countries to acquire education
that is globally recognized and easily affordable too. The countries that I researched include European
countries, the UK, Canada, and the USA as they have the best educational institutes and offer the best
education. I found that the tuition fee and the living expenses in the UK and USA are too high. USA has
high crime rate too. UK does not have tuition protection service. However, Canada is a reasonable
country in the terms of cost of education and living but the weather in Canada made me rethink my
decision. The extreme cold weather will be unbearable for me to adjust to there.

European countries also have affordable education and living options but I found the language problem
there. Learning a new language is not an easy task for me. Therefore I discarded all these options and
selected Australia.
Why I Choose Australia?

Deciding to study and live in another country requires adjusting in cultural, social and academic areas of
life. It is not easy to leave your country and live in a new place with new people and culture. I want to
travel to Australia just to acquire high quality education.

I choose Australia because I find this country to be the most suitable for me. The education system in
Australia is high rated and I am interested in VET education. Australian VET courses are very unique and
systematic. Vet colleges in Australia are globally recognized and the courses are updated curriculum and
based on advanced curriculum.

I wanted to study in an English speaking country so that I can adjust easily. Australia offers high quality
education and to get a good job in a multinational company in my country, preference is given to a
foreign qualified person. The institutes give practical based courses with research opportunities in
Australia and unfortunately Pakistani institutes lack these facilities. By studying in Australia, I can get the
hands-on learning and courses include work-based training and these trainings are a great way to get
exposure to the professional industries. This is an attractive feature for me and I am attracted towards
studying in Australia.

The courses are also less expensive. The tuition fee of Australian institutes is reasonable as compared to
the Colleges in UK and USA. The living in Australia is also affordable and annual living cost is AU$ 21041.
The exchange rate is also less as compared to the USA and UK currency. 1 AUD is equal to 184.97 PKR
whereas 1 GBP is equal to 323.70 PKR and 1 USD is equal to 267 PKR. It shows that Australia will be the
most suitable option for me in terms of cost.

Although I belong to a financially stable family, but still I want an affordable country. The weather of
Australia is another benefit for me because it is also just like my country Pakistan. Australia is a secure
country where crime rate is very low and even the police does not carry the guns. The country also gives
rights to the students and allows them to work 40 hours fortnightly.

Australia has another benefit of offering the Tuition Protection Service (TPS), an initiative of the
Australian Government that helps international students to get the refund if their institution does not
fully deliver the course of study or if a student withdraws from, or has not started the course. This
facility is not available in other countries like USA, UK, or European countries.

Australia is also a tourist country and people from around the world come for tourism. Most of exotic
flora and fauna in Australia is not found anywhere else in the world. My campus will be in Melbourne
which is one of the best cities in Australia. It has a beautiful and moderate climate and has changeable
climate. In winter, Melbourne is a bit colder than other mainland Australian state capital cities but
summers are known for irregular extreme heat. I am excited to visit Melbourne and start my student life
there. Melbourne is a multi-cultural city with lots of students from different countries. Living and
studying in Melbourne will be a fantastic experience for me and I will experience different lifestyle and
visit many attractions there. I would like to visit royal botanic garden, national gallery of Victoria,
Federation Square, Melbourne Museum and Royal Exhibition Building, etc.
I am aware of the annual living costs in Australia which is $ 21041 and I have done my financial
preparation. There are many accommodation options for international students and I can find budget-
friendly options that will make my living manageable in Melbourne.

After checking all these institutes and the courses they are offering, I decided not to study there. Most
colleges teach old and obsolete curriculum which is not in demand in the international job market.
Moreover the curriculum is also based on theories and do not prepare students to work at a
professional level.

The education system of Pakistan is old and traditional and teaching methods used in academic
institutes are old and focus on memorization. The colleges lack many facilities, they gave shortage of
funds, lack of resources and absence of modern technology. There are no research opportunities in
Pakistan at vocational level. Education system is based on memorizing and assessments are examination
based only. Students do not gain practical skills that are needed by the employers at jobs. So, the
students who graduate from the Pakistani vocational colleges are not able to work at a professional
level. This is the main reason companies and especially international companies operating in Pakistan
give preference to foreign qualified students at the time of hiring. I don’t want to get low-quality
education that is only based on theoretical knowledge. These are the reasons I want to study abroad
instead of studying in Pakistan.

Why I choose Glen Institute

institute is one of the top colleges in Australia that offers courses with real-world practices along with
theoretical knowledge. They also offer research facilities. The teachers at the college are professionals
and the industry experts too. The tuition fee of the course is AUD 20,000 for both courses and I find it
reasonable for the quality and level of education that this college is provides.

My Diplomas from Glen Institute will be accepted all across the world. The college offers many facilities
for the students such as advanced labs, library, research facility, and more. There is also a facility of free
Wi-Fi at the campus. The college also has high employability rate and the graduates find jobs soon after
the completion of their courses.

The Glen Institute has pleasant and welcoming environment for the international students. I will get a
chance to make new friends from around the world. The location of the college is also very convenient
and can be accessed by the public transport, markets, restaurants, cafes, and banks, etc. These were the
reasons I decided to study at the Glen Institute.

but this course is more about strategic planning and I prefer the courses offered by Glen

and this is again not satisfactory for me when I compare it with Glen institute’s course. It

Plan For My Future Career

My first aim is to acquire qualifications from Australia which will be highly valued and respected in
Pakistan. My proposed course will teach me basic and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the
leadership and management and will also develop international perspective. I will get different
opportunities after the successful completion of the course.

The course will provide me the knowledge will help me work practically and I will learn to implement the
concepts and ideas practically. In Pakistan, there are many multinational companies due to easy access
to the resources and easy hiring of local manpower. These companies prefer foreign qualified people
and due to this, I develop a desire to become a foreign qualified

This created adequate interest in me to go to Australia and enrich my academic background with
international qualifications. After studying from Pakistan, I can find a job in different multinational and
big companies like Unilever Pakistan, Jazz, Warid Telecom, Nestle Pakistan, Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan)
Ltd, etc. as an executive officer, executive manager, department manager( accounts manager), business
manager, managing director, business development manager, etc and become capable to perform
managerial tasks, manage finance, make plans and deal with a broad range of people. In coming years,
many international and local companies will be coming in future. Such companies are striving to get
skilled manpower and expert managers especially who are foreign qualified. If I get a job in such
companies, my starting salary would be from Rs 100,000 to Rs 150,000 due to my foreign qualifications.
Foreign qualified people are always paid higher salaries than the local graduates. I can earn at least PKR
100,000 per month

investors. We expect that the second phase of CPEC will contribute to more economic growth and
development. There will be more focus on industrialization, agricultural development and advancement
of science and technology. Hence, in coming years, there will be increasing demand for the professional
business experts. So, I would like to prepare myself for the future when I will return to Pakistan.
