If all is fair in love and war, then the Trojan horse during the Spartan war

wouldn’t be one of the big lies in history. A certain dictator named Shitler, no
offense intended if you’re his follower spread an outrageous lie to eliminate
Jews from Earth, and he made history. Our textbook in itself is overflowing with
exaggeration. If we talk about the present, Lawyers lie, and so do politicians and
doctors, and media, in fact, the whole religion thing is a lie, no offense intended
again.
And often, we don’t actually want to hear the truth. If we hear what we want to
hear, we accept it, true or not. In fact, we consider those who are too honest to
be blunt and anti-social. We lie to paint a better picture of ourselves connecting
our fantasies to the person we wish we were rather than the person we are
because maybe we are just not good enough. See, fat shaming and weight
bullying is wrong but that does not mean we should lie to obese people, does it?
We often tell uninteresting weenie lies as in, we all know that you should tell
your friend that the dress doesn’t make her look fat, even though it does or a
beautiful painting especially, even though you can’t quite tell if it’s a pigeon or
an alligator, it is artistic. We tend to accept this kind of lying because they are
socially polite. Allow me to mention this particular lie, which is so extraordinary
that it builds trust, builds relationships, and can benefit society even better than
honesty sometimes. And that is pro-social lying. Because I believe that the key
to lying is the intention behind it.
