A case study of Domestic AND International Tourist at Patan Durbar Square

Introduction

Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated at the center of the city of
Lalitpur in Nepal . It attracts a significant number of domestic and international tourist each
year . This research aim to study the characteristics , behaviors and preferences of domestic and
international tourists visiting paten durbar square .Tourism today is one of the fastest growing
industries throughout the world . It stimulates growth of overall economy . It can help in having
better relations social and political among the regions and raises physical and moral well being
of all people everywhere .

• The study aims to know the factors influencing tourists likelihood of returning to Patan
Durbar square , their willingness to recommend the destinations to others and their
overall satisfaction to the sites.
• The research will explore the visitors perceptions of cultural significance , visitors
experience and the effectiveness of preservations efforts at site .
• The study will assess the impact of facilities safety and cleanliness on the overall tourist
experience at Patan Durbar square .

• A sample of 100 tourists [50 domestic and 50 international ] will be selected .


• Questionnaire - interviews and observation technique will be used to collect data .
• The study will used a descriptive research design and a case study method .
