Step-by-step explanation
The thickness of wall studs based on the photo is the same with the thickness of walls.
So, to get the perimeter of the figure excluding the wall studs, simply add the dimensions
of the interior floor.
First, get the sum of all the measurements on the left side:
90 + 910 + 90 + 950 + 90 = 2130
But because it says do not include the wall stud thickness, we subtract the thickness of
the wall on top and bottom of figure.
2130 - 90 - 90 = 1950
So, the left side without the thickness of wall stud is 1950.
Now on the right side, as you can see, there is already a measurement indicated without
the wall stud/wall thickness. Thus, we also have 1950 on the right side.
It seems like the figure is a rectangle, thus even if there are few data at the top, we can
just compute using the data of its parallel side.
90 + 910 + 90 + 90 + 800 + 820 + 230 = 3030 with the wall studs.
Without the wall studs, we just subtract the two thickness of walls on left and right.
3030 - 90 - 230 = 2710
By seeing that it is a rectangle. We assume that the parallel side without the studs is also
2710.
Then we add the sums of all sides without the studs: 1950 + 1950 + 2710 + 2710 = 9320.
The perimeter of the bathroom not including the walls studs is 9320.
