EVALUATION QN:

● Start each of your paragraphs with “I agree/disagree” - if you don’t = L1/1

● DO NOT paraphrase
● In your summary paragraph, emphasize on HOW (example: how did can the CMIO
benefit the minorities?)
● In your bonus point paragraph when you analyze for reliability, the Source that you
choose to analyze must be a Source you mentioned or referenced in your Agree &
Disagree paragraph (remark: Reliability is the SAFEST option to use in an exam)
● In your bonus point paragraph, you cannot repeat what you said in the A/D paragraph
● In your bonus point paragraph, you can state your own opinion based on your own
knowledge and even suggest a new option/change that could have been implemented

EXAMPLE:
Lyla is disinterested in Social Studies. Ev: She did not do her homework (no connection)

Casual relationship
- did not do homework —> poor time management —> lack of care —> disinterest
(MUST MAKE CONNECTION, it won’t always be in your evidence so you have to make
the links yourself and that would be your evidence)

EXAMPLE 2:
1) CMIO is not relevant because other axis of identities are more important
2) “I identify more as a Singaporean than a Chinese”
1 and 2 have a gap in explanation (unclear)

LINK: This means that National Pride is strong —> race ID doesn’t matter —> looks don’t matter
—> common experiences as Singaporeans —> link back to inference (1)

ANALYZING RELIABILITY:
Focus of provenance (the place of origin/author)
Example: Source is written by a University Professor therefore it is reliable because he/she is
knowledgeable in the field and is very experienced therefore it is more trustworthy and more
reliable. ‘
