FEBS
Under the direction of the Science and Technology Council (STC) of
Students' Gymkhana, IIT Bhubaneswar, FEBS, the Society of Finance,
Economics, and Business, is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating
student organization. FEBS is devoted to the exploration and
advancement of knowledge in the fields of finance, economics, business,
and data science, as its name suggests.
In its two years of operation, FEBS has collaborated on numerous events
and competitions with prestigious companies and organizations like as
WorldQuant, Stockgro, Zerodha, Wadhwani Foundation, and Research and
Entrepreneur Park (REP) IIT Bhubaneswar. These partnerships have paid
off, enabling us to achieve our goal of promoting a knowledge-based
culture both on campus and in the surrounding community. Our influence
goes much beyond our campus; in the past six months, we have touched
over ten lakh people and built a solid network of more than 20,000
enduring relationships. With more than 2,000 Instagram followers and
more than 45,000 LinkedIn page and employee connections, FEBS has a
sizable and active following. Sponsors can reach a large audience,
establish deep connections, and have a lasting impact on the community
by working with us.
 Our Events & Achivements

Major Events in 2023-24

1. Quantitative Finance 101: A Comprehensive Bootcamp: Quantitative Finance 101 was
a four-week bootcamp on quantitative finance, one of the FEBS's flagship courses
2. Collaborative Mock Trading with StockGrow : FEBS collaborated with StockGro to conduct an
online mock trading competition. This event aimed to introduce participants to financial markets and
trading strategies in a risk-free environment.
3. Workshop with World Quant and World Quant Brain Alphathon 2023: The guest speaker, Aditya
Chaturvedi, a researcher at World Quant, provided an in-depth exploration of quantitative finance and
financial simulation models.
