I will present myself to the students.
5. Main teaching input:
I will start the lesson by saying “Hi, my name is Benjamin”, and ask the students to
repeat after me. Then I will ask them to repeat the same sentence with their own names.
Second, I will make the same small talk, but I will introduce “he, she, and is” to present
each student after I introduce myself. “Hi, my name is Benjamin. She is Paula”
Third, the question’s introduction. I will present some flashcard pictures of people with
their names on them. Keeping up the conversation, I will ask the students to confirm or
deny the question regarding the name of the person in the picture. “Is she Paula?”
Fourth, the students will have to answer the questions with simple yes or no answers.
6. Guided practice:
The student will randomly participate through the whole lesson by giving their names
and confirming or denying information. Students will be divided into groups to play a
game.
7. Independent practice:
The students will be handed out a worksheet containing sentences and they have to pick
the right pronoun to fill out the blank spaces.
8. Assessment:
Students will share their answers with the whole class and immediate feedback will be
provided.
9. Closing review and follow up:
To close the activity student will play a game to practice.
