LAMONGAN

Lamongan, Lamongan is my born place. Lamongan is located about 50 km west of

Surabaya the Capital city of East Java Province and borders on Gresik in the east, Mojokerto and
Jombang regencies in the south, Bojonegoro and Tuban in the west and Java sea in the north.
Lamongan was birth on 26 mei 1569.

Lamongan has a tropical climate with an average annual temperature of 28.2°C, average
precipitation of 1502.2 mm, average number of days with precipitation of 104.5 days, average
length of day of 12.5 hours, average relative humidity of 76.5% and average annual wind speed
of 11.8 km/h.

Lamongan city have a many typical food, for example is Soto Lamongan and Nasi Boran.
Soto Lamongan different with chicken soup in the other place, the of taste Soto Lamongan is
simple tasty and very typical with clear broth and chicken flavors are dominant.

The second food made in Lamongan city is Nasi Boran, This food is very famous. The
seasoning of the Nasi Boran is made by many herbs that have been crushed. The side dish is
chicken meat, offal, fish, fried egg, salted egg, tofu and many more. The side dish will more
expensive when compared with mix topping.

Characteristic of the Lamongan City is a Lamongan Marine Tourism (Wisata Bahari

Lamongan). WBL is available with it’s unique, the result of combination between natural
aspects, cultures, and architecture.

Maharani Zoo and cave, it is located in Paciran subdistrict, Lamongan regency, East Java
beside of WBL. This cave that called Maharani castle cave has depth of land about 25 m and
area of cavity about 2.500 m2. Maharani is also a zoo that has many animal collections , for
example lion, tiger, elephant, monkey, snake, bird, and many others.

Lamongan also have Persela, Lamongan Football Association and the nickname is
“Laskar Joko Tingkir”, is an Indonesian football club based in Lamongan, East Java. Persela is
managed by PT. PERSELA JAYA
