DATE : 8TH AUGUST 2022 (MONDAY)

CLASS : 2 SAIDINA ABU BAKAR

TIME : 11.45 AM – 1.15 PM

ATTENDANCE : 33 / 36

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

INTRODUCTION:

From the lesson activity implemented today, I can analyze the strengths, weakness,
opportunities to improve the activity as well as the threats that may come along with the
curriculum session. Thus, today’s reflection would be based on these four aspects. This is
my first lesson in this class. In this lesson plan, I make my activities based on textbook,
“Super Minds, Student’s book 1 in topic 7, Get Dressed. This topic mainly focused on
clothes. I used flashcards of clothes and a few models of clothes. Through this lesson, my
pupils would be able to identify every piece of clothes and the materials that they made from
either from cotton, wool or leather.

STRENGTH

Based on the feedback of students, the strength in my teaching was my ability to

arouse pupils’ interest towards learning by involving the pupils during the activity by involving
the use of flashcards that showed beautiful pictures of every piece of clothing. I also praised
pupils as they cooperated and actively interacted with myself and the teaching materials
using traffic lights. The use of real-life models gave pupils direct interaction with sense of
touch and sight. They can tell the different between materials and it’s characteristic.

WEAKNESS

Through analyses, I found my weakness which I can’t get the whole class attention
as some of pupils didn’t pay attention. They did other things like talking and drawing random
things on their book. My class control skill is still lacking.
OPPORTUNITY

There's a correlation between effective pacing and student engagement, so it's

crucial to consider the speed at which I move through a lesson and the rate of delivery for
different parts of the lesson. When pacing is too slow, students often become bored and
disengaged. When it's too fast, some may not grasp what's being taught and get lost or
discouraged. I would try to improve on my teaching next time by determine how much time I
have through scripting the questions I'll pose as well as plan actions and words for your
teaching point. I would also think through and rehearse key parts of the lesson to know how
much time to give each element. Last but not least, I will think through transition and be
ready to read signals especially from the students. Using traffic lights also help pupils to
muster their courage to ask questions without saying any words.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, this session can be counted as successful as more than 70 percent of

the pupils understand the materials as most of the pupils can answered the worksheet that I
gave them almost correctly.
