Tuition Fee Concession for Bonafide Uttarakhand Residents
In case you are an Uttarakhand bonafide resident, you are eligible for a 30% concession on tuition
fee subject to fulfilment of the following conditions and submission of supporting documents:
(a) ‘Sthai Niwas Praman Patra’ certificate along with the admission form.
(b) Income certificate proving that your gross family income is not more than
Rs.12 lacs per annum along with a copy of the last income tax return filed.

With the objective of access to quality education for all, UPES is providing scholarships to students who come
from economically weaker sections of society, but have high levels of aspiration, commitment and caliber.

but also meets the criteria for one or more than one scholarship/concession at UPES including Domicile (as mandated by regulation), student shall receive the highest of the
scholarship/concession offered but not both. Further, for clarity purposes, Domicile or any other scholarship/concession not opted shall be deemed to be waived by the student. Said

Admission and
Registration Process
1) Deposit of the Semester Fee
Consequent to the admission offer from
UPES, first semester programme fee
respective to the programme offered must
be paid as per the details mentioned in your
offer letter failing which the admission offer
stands cancelled. For fee details, kindly refer
to the last page of the document. Please
note that the admissions will be given purely
on first come, first served basis and no
extension for deposit of semester fee will be
granted.
This admission offer, however is provisional
and will be confirmed only upon submission
of all the required testimonials/documents
(as mentioned in para-2 below) and receipt
of first semester fee as mentioned above.
2) Submission of the Admission Form
Students are requested to submit the
enclosed admission form duly filled along
with attested copies of the following
certificates and two latest stamp size
photographs
(duly signed at the back).
a) A copy of UPES offer letter
b) X class marksheet & certificate (Eligibility
criteria: Minimum 50% aggregate)
c) XII class marksheet & certificate (Eligibility
criteria: Minimum 50% aggregate)
d) Graduation marksheet and certificate
(Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 50% aggregate
with LLB degree or equivalent). Those
appearing in the final year examination
should submit the marksheets of all previous
years/semesters passed
e) Income certificate of parents along with a
copy of the latest income tax return filed (in
case of bonafide resident of Uttarakhand)
f) Migration/Transfer certificate
g) Income tax PAN card of the student would
be required if hostel accommodation is also
opted. (Please refer point 18 of rule 114B of
Income tax rules.)

3) Hostel Facility
Residential blocks have been earmarked for
limited on-campus accommodation (on first
come, first served basis) separately for boys
and girls on triple sharing basis.

campus hostel facility should submit the

A student who registers for the hostel
(on-campus) and withdraws the same at any
point of time during the academic year will
not be entitled to hostel fee refund. In case,
the seat is filled up by another boarder,

be provided transportation facility to the city
once a week free of charge.
b) Day scholars residing at Dehradun can avail
transportation facility to the UPES campus by
paying charges of Rs. 25,000/- for the
