Barangay Calingatngan Kababayin-an ha Borongan City believes in the

strength of unity, the power of education, and the importance of advocating for
women's rights and well-being. Our advocacies, listed below, are centered on
empowering women to become active agents of change, not only within their families
but also within the broader community.

1. Gender Equality and Women's Rights: We advocate for gender equality and
the full realization of women's rights. This includes advocating for equal access to
education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and participation in decision-
making processes at all levels.
2. Empowerment Through Education: We believe that education is a fundamental
tool for empowerment. We strive to provide educational opportunities for women
and girls within our barangay, including adult literacy programs, vocational
training, and workshops on various skills and topics relevant to women's
empowerment.
3. Health and Well-being: We advocate for access to affordable and quality
healthcare services for women and girls. This includes raising awareness about
reproductive health, maternal and child health, nutrition, and other health issues
that affect women disproportionately. We also promote mental health awareness
and provide support for women experiencing mental health challenges.
4. Economic Empowerment: We support initiatives that promote economic
empowerment for women, including entrepreneurship training, access to
microfinance services, and opportunities for women to participate in income-
generating activities. We believe that economic empowerment is crucial for
women to achieve financial independence and break the cycle of poverty.
5. Ending Violence Against Women: We are committed to ending all forms of
violence against women and girls, including domestic violence, sexual assault,
trafficking, and harmful practices such as child marriage and female genital
mutilation. We provide support services for survivors of violence and work to
 raise awareness about gender-based violence and its impact on individuals and
communities.
6. Environmental Sustainability: We recognize the importance of environmental
sustainability for the well-being of current and future generations. We advocate
for environmentally friendly practices within our community, including waste
management, conservation of natural resources, and mitigation of climate change
impacts. We believe that women play a crucial role in environmental conservation
and sustainable development.
7. Community Engagement and Advocacy: We actively engage with our
community to raise awareness about women's issues and advocate for positive
change. This includes organizing community forums, workshops, and awareness
campaigns on gender equality, women's rights, and other relevant topics. We
also collaborate with local government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders
to promote women's empowerment and advance our advocacy goals.
