uk vfta vietnam will save an estimated

151 million u.s dollars per year in

import taxes to the uk

the uk has also promised to add various

quotas on more than 10 groups of

vietnamese products

with the uk leaving the european union

its rise in obligations under the evf ta

will cease to apply

but this is no longer a concern

the signing of an agreement like this is

to prevent an economic shock if brexit

occurs

the uk vfta inherits commitments that

had been made in the free trade

agreement

between the european union and vietnam

or evfda

effected from august 2020 evfda is

considered a fast-track route for

businesses on both sides

to access each other's markets the

vietnamese government also launched a

comprehensive action program

to implement the evfta
