ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT GUIDELINES

Students have to do TWO projects in the entire academic session

1. TOPICS FOR THE PROJECT:
1. Market Survey
2. Business Plan
• 10 Marks each for 02 Projects
• 5 Marks for Numerical Assessment
• 5 Marks for Viva
Note: Students need to complete both the projects.
Guidelines for both projects are given in the CBSE Textbook.
2. Steps involved in the conduct of the project:
Students may work upon the following lines as a suggested:
• Choose a title/topic
• Collection of the research material/data
• Organization of material/data
• Present material/data
• Analysing the material/data for conclusion
• Draw the relevant conclusion
• Presentation of the Project Work
3. Expected Checklist for the Project Work:
• Introduction of topic/title
• Identifying the product/service
• Various stakeholders and effect on each of them
• Use of different tools for market assessment and it’s analysis
• Implication of 4P’s in the process of marketing
• Calculation of various costs involved in the business planning process
• Validity, reliability, appropriateness and relevance of data used for
research work and for presentation in the project file
• Presentation and writing that is succinct and coherent in project file
 • Citation of the materials referred to, in the file in footnotes, resources
section, bibliography etc.
General Instructions:
• You are expected to make a Handwritten Project. It should include both,
text and images.
• The Project file should be written on Ruled A4 sheets Paper.
• Minimum of 12-15 coloured photos expected in the project (blank project
without relevant photos will not be considered for submission)
• The First Draft of the Project is expected to be submitted by 7 th June. The
Final Draft will be collected in July. (1st Project) and October (2nd Project)
• There should be appropriate labelling of the pictures.
• There should be content information of the subtopics with relevant
bordering and captions for all subtopics that are neatly highlighted in
coloured pens.
• Criteria for evaluation are content and Presentation including text and
pictures used for the project.

PROJECT 1- MARKET SURVEY OF ANY PRODUCT OR

SERVICE

• Market Survey of Product/Goods or Survey (10 Questions)

• Students prepare a Questionnaire on Market Survey of the specific
product and service that they have chosen ( 20 Questionnaire Samples to
be collected)
• Graphic Representation of all answers to be presented as Bar Graph or
Pie Chart.
• Refer page no 252 of NCERT Text Book.

PROJECT 2- BUSINESS PLAN OF ANY PRODUCT/SERVICE

The students are required to prepare the project on the following synopsis:
A) Introduction of Business Plan- Briefing on the below contents
• What is a Business Plan?
• Format of a Business Plan
B) Reason for choosing a Particular Business Plan- Justification from student
end.
C) Executive Summary - Introduction to the Business Plan (The name of the
Product/Logo/What the product or service has to offer?)
Vision/Mission Statement Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
D) Objectives- Long Term and Short-Term Goal of the Business Plan
E) Competitors- Their Product/Service offerings and Pricing strategies when in
comparison to your product including SWOT summary.
F) Components of a Business Plan- detail Break-up of the Business Plan as
given below:
• Functional Structure (Hierarchy of Management Chart-Delegation of
Authority)
• Operational Plan (Branches-Types of Consumers etc.)
• Financial Plan/Budget (Means of Financing-Cost of Working and Fixed
Capital Split)
• Marketing Plan ( Strategies used for Advertising and Promotion of the
Product)
• SWOT Analysis (your own Product/Service)-Also present SWOT of
your competitors.
• Human Resource Plan (The Human Resource Requirement Summary)
• Market Survey Report on the Specific Product (Its importance and need
to specific consumers-target market etc)
• BEP Analysis and Summary
G) Conclusion- Synopsis of the Business Plan your satisfaction as an
Etrepreneur-Learning from the entire project work undertaken.
H) Biblography
