1. In consonance to DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2022 titled Schaol Calendar and
Actiuitiesfor SY 2O22-2O23 particularly the general guidelines on Five-Day Mid-Year
Break, this Office hereby issues the guideiines on the conduct of Mid-Year Ereak
Activities fcr $choot Ye* 2O22-2A2& on Febnrary 6-1O, 2AZg-

2. The mid-year break activities for current school year aims to:
a. evaluate implementation of programs, projects, and activities;
b. review individual performance of school personnel; and
c. enhance the competence of teachers along teaching-learning process.

3. All K to 3 and ALS Teachers of Category A Districts (Enclosure 1)

shail attend the ,Dhursion Trairting on Strategies for Lanqsage Leanting and
Transition: Imprauing Earlg Grade Literacg at School and at Home on February
6-10, 2A23 ai the venue to be announced through a District Memorandum.

4. The Grades 4- L2 of category A Districts, and K to 12 and ALS

Teachers of Category B Districts (Enclosure 1) shall have the follorving
activities to be conducted:

D. Updating of the Individual Development Plan (IDP).

Febntatg 8-7O, 2023 - In-Seruice Training (INSET)

A. Conduct of L&D activities based on the approved plan;
B. Preparation of instructional materials; and
C. Other activities reiative to the enhancement of teaching practice and
iearning outcomes.

5. The K to 3 teachers of Category B Districts who wei:e not able to attend

the said training last year shall be mentored by trained co-teachers.

6. Only the E1ementary Schools of Category A Districts shall have a

clustered INSET.

7. School heads and 1,&D Coordinators shall prepare the matrix of

activities, tap speakers, and iead the technical working group.

B. The Public Schools District Supervisors shall monitor the conduct of

mid-year break activities using the On-site Monitoring Tool'

9. The Education Program Supervisors may be consulted to quality- assure

training contents relative to curriculum and instruction'

10- This Memorandum serves as Travel Order.

1 1.Cnly travel and incidental expenses shaii be charged against local funds
subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
