I am writing to show my interest in the job advertisement for a chef that I saw in the local newspaper.
I am currently living in Manchester and am going to move close to your restaurant in London.

I was previously working as an assistant chef in a three-star restaurant in Manchester, for the last four
years. My job pertained to preparing dishes, including the main course and desserts. Due to
unforeseen circumstances pertaining to my family I have to move back to London and would
appreciate the opportunity to work at your restaurant.

Your posting mentioned a requirement of clean and healthy cooking and I have been well trained by
an established culinary school in such matters. I was previously working the day shift from nine in the
morning to five, on the weekdays and would be willing to continue at such times. My current schedule
is quite flexible and I can certainly adapt it to your establishment as required.
