Six Steps To Excellence in Ministry
Six Steps To Excellence in Ministry
Six Steps To Excellence in Ministry
By Kenneth Copeland
STEP ONE
Dedication – It’s your decision
STEP TWO
SINGLENESS OF PURPOSE
STEP THREE
FOLLOW THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Don’t lean to your own understanding. Learn to follow the leadership of the
Holy Spirit with in you.
Don’t be influence by situation.
Don’t be influence by emotional reaction or physical of the people while
your are ministering the word. Be totally led and motivated by the Holy
Spirit.
Be prepared for disturbances.
(For example, you are preaching then the light or electric power stop, don’t
stop)
Jesus said in John 16:13 “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth is come, He
will guide you.”
To enjoy excellence in your calling you must depend on the guidance of the
Holy Spirit.
STEP FOUR
STRIP AWAY THE THINGS OF THE WORLD
Just before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed a special prayer for His disciples. He
said, “They are not of the world, even as I am of the world. Sanctify them through
thy truth; thy word is truth.” John 17:16-17
To sanctify means, “to separate unto.”
So, to have excellence of ministry, we must strip away everything of the
world from our lives until there is nothing left by the Word of God.
1. One of the first thing that must be rooted out is our sin.
a. Stop seeing yourself on other Christians as reformed sinners – all are
now the very righteousness of God.
2. Second, strip away your negative confession. Don’t confess that you are,
Nudy, weak or sickly.
a. Learn to control your speech. Watch out for verbal expression.
b. For by thy words, thou shall be justified and by thy words shall be
condemned (Matt. 12:37)
c. Do away spiritual junk food.
Watching TV all day and night, cellphone; facebook, groupchat,
games and media that dwells on the negative side of life: wars,
inflation, accident death, conflict in Matt. 13:22 will choke the word.
STEP FIVE
LOOK TO THE WORD, DAY AND NIGHT (PS.1:2-3)
You will obtain God’s favor. You will increase your faith as well as your
understanding of how to use your faith. (Rom. 10:17)
STEP SIX
SPEND TIME FASTING.
The purpose of fasting is not to influence God into acting in our behalf.
Its purpose is to shut off the influence of our flesh in order to be in tune
with Spirit.
Fasting helps us to receive from God but does not push God in action.
