Questions

Q1. Is it the first time that you use this homepage of the company?
A1. Oh yes, this is the first time that I know about this website, whose website
name sounds a little bit fresh to me.

Q2. What are you interested in this website?

A2. In the website, I am very interested in the field of mapping and location
technology, which is shown in the homepage as a striking slogan. The geoinformation
and geolocation datasets are both available and commercial for both drivers, maps,
and road network analysis. This is an open-source data platform which combines the
geographical data with transportation index quantification. The API of Map Data in
the map service makes it possible for us to integrate programming, database
connecting and web crawling together, which is among the most attractiveness to
myself.

Q3. What ideas and concepts have changed after you read the homepage?
A3. The platform and website give more information and examples than I
thought before. More resources are obtained and more open-source data are visualized
in the homepage, such as map sources, traffic services, and even OD analysis API
product with some native examples.

Q4. How will you make assessment of visualization in this homepage?

A4. A map is only as good as what it’s made of: Who it’s open to. What problems
it solves. Through the website, it may be quite easier for us to catch up with the open
sources and credible datasets in modeling, even commercial or academic explorations
in visualization and quantification. Via the API, researchers and customers can find
accessible methods to grab data for later modeling, or resulting in constructing
personal geolocation database. The visualization of the website is clear and
intuitionistic for all of the groups to read. This is also very invaluable for us to use for
reference.

Q5. Can you find any traffic data of native examples in the homepage?
A5. In the part Road analytics, here are some examples. In the Traffic Stats part,
here are some solutions to these questions: How will closing one road impact traffic
on others? Where are the biggest bottlenecks? Get the insights you need to
understand, predict and reduce traffic with TomTom Traffic Stats: our road network
analysis tool that’s available online via the TomTom MOVE portal or API. A Helsinki
case study is included as the appendix of PDF filetype in the bottom of its website,
seen in https://www.tomtom.com/products/traffic-stats/. It shows Delay 2017 (hours,
total number of observations) of this capital city, together with other indicators.
