1. Explain the cultural heritages existing in your region to your group members.

- Some of the well known are:- Aksum, Lalibela and fasil ghebbi.

Aksum

- Aksum is a town found close to Ethiopia's northern border in the Tigray Region.
Well known for its tall, carved obelisks, relics of the ancient Kingdom of Aksum.
The major Aksumite monuments in the town are steles, which are standing stone
slab used in the ancient world as a grave marker but also for dedication,
commemoration, and demarcation which are around 1,700 years old and have
become a symbol of the Ethiopian people's identity.The Aksumite Empire also had
its own written language called Geʽez.

Lalibela

- Lalibela is a town in the Amhara region of northern Ethiopia, most famous for
rock-cut monolithic churches. They were built as a substitute for pilgrimages to
the Holy Land, which was unreachable at the time. They include huge Bete
Medhane Alem, and cross-shaped Bete Giyorgis. Many are joined by tunnels and
trenches.

fasil ghebbi

- fasil ghebbi is a fortress located in Gondar, Amhara Region, Ethiopia. It was


founded by Emperor Fasilides and was the home of Ethiopian emperors. the city
contains palaces, churches, monasteries and unique public and private buildings
marked by Hindu and Arab influences,

2. Tell your group members about which of our national heritages you like most.

- We find Lalibela to be the most fascinating because of its unique architecture,


and how they were able to build it at that time period. It is also one of our tourist
attraction sites which makes it really vital for our economic success.

3. Discuss what you have done and what you should do for our cultural heritages.
- we havent done enough yet but for now The best all of us can do is raise public
awareness of our cultural heritages both in the country and abroad by develop
training courses.
